you can farm it, also you can get it from war win bonus. so you should have 2600 dark elixer every 2 days as townhall 8

I make quick work of DE in Crystal 2.

I jumped up to my current level of 43k without even trying within about 2 days.

Go on to you tube and find a channel called. Clash with ash. He will help with getting you the dark you need.
Would exsplain how to do it but easier for you to watch it. I'm pushing my heros, they have both been down for over 2 months and are at lvl 20, so I sort of know how to farm dark. Good luck

60 barbarians
64 archers
20 goblins
8 wallbreakers
8 giants
3 heal spells, can raid without them aswell, but it will be a bit harder

train time: aprox 20 min
i use this combo in silver I - Gold III netting 1k+ de every raid
i got over 40k de in 3 days

strategty:

deploy a few barbs and archers to take out outside buildings, followed by giants and wallbreakers to bust into the first layer of the base.

spawn more archers and barbarians to get further into the base and more wallbreakers when needed aswell.

once you have direct access to the DE storage, spawn the goblins to target it, make sure there arent any collectors nearby that will distract the goblins, all of those should have already been destroyed by the archers and barbarians already

if there is a wizard tower near the DE storage it helps to place a heal spell to keep the goblins alive long enough to get all of the DE

I was using this for awhile, it seemed I couldn't make my elixir back fast enough. I'd just blow through it. Maybe my training was a little stupid with some uneccesary use of spells. I'd train one barracks giants, another wallbreakers, then archers, and barbarians in the last two. I'd also train 2 rage and 2 heal and basically always have spells training. Maybe I should do something different to prevent my elixir from depleting more than I'm earning.

Imo, the problem isn't farming it but holding on to it. Anytime I get to 40k, I become a big old fat target.

I haven't tried to save that much since I got my king to 10, but if I was to try, I'd make sure all my other resources are super low.
