Farming wars

Just lately in wars my clan have come up against an increased number of clans who just want to farm for 30% 'losing' war bonuses, they ask us to put the town halls of our top 2 players outside their defences, they then leave their bases completely open to easy attacks.

this is taking the fun out of wars.

i don't see the point of this tactic as wars take 48 hours, how much loot can be gained by simply raiding in that time.

leave wars for war clans and raid if all you want is loot.

i think supercell need to do something about this, ie make a minimum threshold for any 'losing' bonuses as they do with clan xp.

What do other people think?

I don't see it as a problem. Sure it kills the competition spirit, but use the opportunity to practice raiding skills instead, or try a new army composition.

One could argue the same about "farming". It takes the competition out of the trophy system, yet so many do it and enjoy it. If people enjoy it, they are not doing it wrong.

Sounds to me that you don't enjoy it, so you might want to start thinking differently about the situation :smirk:

Sometimes it is better to focus your energy on things that matter, and that you can actually change. If supercell would see this as a problem, they would have changed something about it by now. Clan wars have been out well over a year.

war is about the tension, fun, tactics, etc of the competitition, there is no fun in a walkover.

wars should be for clans that want to war, clans that only want loot should stick to raiding

I disagree. Clash is a strategy game, like it or not but it IS a strategy to farm out wars.

I've been on both sides, now in a war clan and absolutely loving it. Was perviously in a farm war clan while working on my heroes.

I totally know and understand why farm war clans do it. They can wax their war stars, get loot for absolutely no cost and slowly grind away clan perks.

But as a war clan you want the challenge, and you just don't get that against a farm war clan.

Either tell them no thanks, or make a deal on your terms.

Most of those farm war clans let you send a player to their team to check their warlog etc... Just tell them to actually setup real war bases and fill CC, while you still put top2 THs outside.

Result:
They snipe your top2 for bonus
You can actually have a challenge
You will be able to train new attacks
You will win anyway

Hmmmm interesting spin

It deeply irritates me. I don't get the amount of effort that has to go into negotiating the deal for less than 400/400 every 2 days.

Collectors make more than that.

Inconveniencing others for the sake of 1 decent raid every 2 days.

Recent match this farm clan wanted: every TH out, and easily barchable bases. So they could all have some stars for their profile. Pathetic.

As for saying ask them to fill CCs and build real bases.....if they're doing this for less than 400k Lix each, how many are going to be willing to spend any of that barely significant amount on cc troops....

yep...it's ruining the game

You get to win the war. You get more XP. You get more war stars. You win and get all the bonus loot.

What is your problem here?
