The Oops Button
Here is a novel solution for accidentally dropping a troop while nexting. I propose that for a 5 second period after an attack starts that the Next button becomes the Oops button, complete with a 5 second countdown shown in the button itself. The following conditions would have to be met:
- Only a maximum of three troops deployed from the default (leftmost) troop
- No hidden items revealed such as traps, bombs, mines, telsas
- Clan castle troops not lured out
Once any of the above conditions are met the Oops button disappears. This would prevent probing or testing a base for defenses.
The Oops button would not be available for war. What it would do is cancel the attack and recall whatever troops were deployed inadvertently.
This is is just another way to approach a problem that is consistent with an interface issue, and not designed to simply let someone change their mind after an intentional attack was commenced.

Hello. Please read the stickies before creating a new topic. The Index of Common Ideas & Requests contains an explanation of this suggestion as well as a link to a very popular topic created by a member of this community in regards to the accidental battles issue. Please read the topic linked above and reply in the topic linked below. As for your idea, I don't think writing a "Oops" there would look very professional for Clash, the suggestion written below is a better option in my opinion.

1. No troops selected while nexting: I think it happened to every clasher to missclick the Next button and accidentally drop a troop, most of the times on bases not worth of attacking. This idea has been added in the sticky threads by SuperCell as a possible future addition to the game, however with no promises made as of how soon or even if it will be added. There is an ongoing petition for this idea! You can sign it and be part of a possible future addition and make SuperCell see how much the community wants this!

Thanks for pointing out an issue I am altogether aware of. This is a novel suggestion to the problem and doesn't belong in the same thread as the one you refer to. The fact that this issue has been around for so long invites new thinking to solve the problem. I also don't care what the actual button is called, and care even less what you think of how it might look. Your opinion has been noted.
