The solution to the clouds isn't working as we had only 5 make it to Titan after a month long push.Only one person is interested in staying. No one was interested in trying hard given all the obstacles and no gems for reaching Titan?? Fix this, maybe you get more people fighting the time and the ridiculous attacks from people 1200 cups below them. Without gems, as a reward very few push higher beyond the 3200-3300 range for collecting the gems for making champs.

How many made it over 5000 cups before the last month

The matchmaking algorithm doesn't exclusively limit you to the same town hall level, but you are more likely to find your own town hall level.

The probability of those TH9s in Master finding your TH9 base is much higher than them finding a TH10 in Titan. Just because it's possible for TH10s to be hit by players much lower than them doesn't negate the fact that TH9s are more likely to be hit by them.

true. but the range should be limited to something like 400 cups. Although I realize that would still be -19 per star most likely. BTW, I never found a 9 above me the whole time. always for 1 cup total many many cups below me. We even had people get offers of zero cups!

That's because the priority in matchmaking is town hall level first, and then trophy count. At any given time, there are tons of TH9s in Master looking for a raid, but only a few can hit the jackpot and find a whale. Sounds like you never hit the jackpot. But since town hall level is prioritized over trophy count, odds are it's going to be a TH9 that finds you if you're a TH9 and you get hit by someone much lower in cups than you. Your screenshot of your defense is now missing, but I'm willing to bet your attacker from M1 wasn't a TH10.

How else are you going to find more bases to attack if the lower leagues can't catch up? SC new update is making it easy to climb fast to address the cloud issues. You are the whale that brings them up...don't like it drop till the game balances out...or keep a box of tissues close

I think the problem stems from them increasing the pool size but not adjusting the cup gain/loss algorithm. Great there are more people in the pool, offers pop up faster(ha at 4700+), but they are worthless. Id rather wait for at least a 3-6 cup offer vs being available to someone 500 trophies down.

Now, if they changed it so lower players are worth more to higher players, and vise versa, we arent offering obscene cups to them, then the system might balance itself.

Sure the currently trophy system might work for the regular +/-200 ranges, but it gets all out of w♥♥♥♥ when you make that +/- 500(or more).

Its hard to justify telling people to move up when even getting to 3900 is a major chore most arent willing or able to perform. Adding cool new badges and leagues is neat and all, but the underlying trophy system is exactly the same.

Pointless to complain about it though. It has been an issue forever and I doubt we will ever see a change.

Maybe it is because of the way you are searching. There's a little trick: when you get low trophy offers, stop searching, return to your village and start searching again. That will increase the trophy offers, at least on the way up to Titan. I think that Titan still uses old matchmaking, so it wont help once there.

How exactly does that work? It's my understanding that you have to log out of the game to switch target pools. Just quitting searching doesn't do a thing.

Catching up by hitting the masters and champs I had to hit on the way up, not hitting Titans. Have fun fellas, another Titan dropping out of the pool. Oh and BTW, when and IF you ever get above 3600, you will know what I mean. The fast climb only lasts for a little bit
