Poison spell to powerful

The spell takes away the point of having defending clan troops there's only a handful of troops strong enough to survive it, and that's providing they only use one and the ones that can survive it are too expensive or no good at taking out multiple enemies

Dragons and loons can survive it. They are both decent

Balloons are no good against air attacks and you can't expect your clan mates to keep training dragons for you they take to long, are expensive and unless your at war no one will have any readily trained

No need to be toxic, you are right that he hasn't seen your base however that still doesn't give you the reason to act like that!

Just put put a dragon in your castle.. Sorted, this doesn't matter for lower levels as their attackers will not have unlocked the poison spell yet so there is still a large clan castle troop diversity.

I don't find calling someone a ignorant fool to be toxic just the truth he has foolishly assumed that I have a poor layout which is ignorant but fair enough I appolagise if offence was taken. And as I stated earlier it's ok to ask for them as defence in war but for every day defending there too expensive and take to long to make. Instead I have redesigned my base so that you can't easily lore out the cc troops and I shall see how that goes

Ok Thats understandable, however filling a castle shouldn't be needed for defence when farming, however when trophy pushing, surely you can rely on different clan mates to alternate donating you a drag?

Several ways to combat this. One of which, as said earlier, just request those troops that can survive poison. If you are in a good group you SHOULD get them. If someone wants dragons, I'll gem a dragon. 10 gem's isn't that much. Also, if you request troops for defense, and they use a poison spell, you just made them waste a spell. Yipee! Mission accomplished. Also, you can just keep a well designed base, in a trophy league you should be in. I win most of my defenses and I don't even use CC troops for defense.

Ive found in this game you get 2 different types of attacker the ones that go for stars and the ones that go for loot. The ones that go for loot are mostly after dark elixir they don't mind pushing into a base and losing all of thier troops to get it. The result is you lose a couple of thousand in dark elixir with only 10 to 20% damage to your base I've always found that my best defence against this type of attacker was strong clan troops that can take down a whole group of giants quickly so your defences can clean up the rest which is where my problem with the poison spell comes from. On the other hand I could redesign my base to protect my resources but that would leave me open to the attackers that go for stars. Then there's the dragon point if you have a clan with 40+ members all wanting dragons for defence it becomes difficult to keep a constant supply of dragons and it is an expensive troop to be asking for.
