Nothing official, nobody knows yet if there will be any 1 gem boosts or any other events, there are just rumours.

Probably best to ignore rumours until anything official is released. Nothing worse than building your hopes up

Well, last year and the year before on august the second they did the same thing and gave people a chance to boost their mines, collectors and drill for one week for a gem.
