Chapter I. Brief Overview
Magic Stones can be placed on any of your defensive buildings (with one exception) in order to give them unique attributes. There are five stones, each giving the towers special abilities. You can place any stone on any building. Here's the catch: You can only use three stones at one time once you reach Town Hall Lv. 9!
Chapter II. Statistics
First of all, there are five stones, each with a different ability to bestow upon a building. These stones include the
Gold Stone, Red Stone, Blue Stone, Green Stone, and
Purple Stone. Now for the statistics.
Gold Stone
Town Hall Lv. Required - Lv. 6
Effect - Increases the buildings hitpoints by 12.5% (may vary)
Extra Notes - This is the only stone that would be logical to place on non-defensive buildings
Red Stone
Town Hall Lv. Required - Lv. 7
Effect - Troop that gets hit by building equipped with this stone is lit on fire, and they proceed to take damage
Extra Notes - Would not be logical for mortars as they instantly kill weak troops instantly, making the fire effect useless
- Does not hurt Golems
- Effects all troops in a 1.25 space radius
Blue Stone
Town Hall Lv. Required - Lv. 8
Effect - As you may have already guessed, this stone causes buildings to freeze troops hit for 1 second
Extra Notes - Affected troops only take 75% damage when frozen (100% damage would make the stone too powerful, but 79%- damage would almost render it useless)
- Not logical for mortars for same reason as the Red Stone
- Very, very logical for Wizard Towers, as they rarely one-shot troops
- If a troop gets frozen and then gets shot by a blue stone building while frozen, the freeze second does not reset
Green Stone
Town Hall Lv. Required - Lv. 9
Effect - This stone poisons the troop; this is very similar to the Red Stone except that it does more damage, but it only targets one unit
Extra notes - In case it wasn't clear, the Green Stone does more damage than the Red Stone, but only to one troop.
- The one-troop-only effect includes Mortars and Wizard Towers, although it does not remove their splash damage effects (for example, say my Mortar is equipped with the Green Stone, and it hits a Golem next to an archer. The archer takes heavy damage, but does not get poisoned, because it was not the unit that was directly hit. On the other hand, the Golem isn't so lucky.)
Purple Stone
Town Hall Lv. Required - Lv. 10
Effect - A very simple effect, this stone increases the damage per second of the building equipped with it by 12.5%
Extra Notes - N/A
Chapter III. Defensive Strategies
Due to the fact that you can only have three active stones at once, selection is key (info on how you select which stones you want to use is in Chapter IV). For those people who want their loot protected may put a Gold Stone on their Elixir storage. If you have an air defensive base that relies on the Air Sweepers a lot, you may put a Gold Stone on your Air Sweeper, and a Purple Stone on an Air Defense. For those Town Hall 8's out there, you may put a Red Stone on an archer tower near your storages to protect you from BArch raids. There are all kinds of things you could do with these stones!
Chapter IV. Details
As is most likely guessed, each stone's color is corresponding with the name. Also, they each have their own unique shape: Gold Stone: Shield, Red Stone: Flame, Blue Stone: Rhombus (Diamond), Green Stone: Oval OR Cloud, Purple Stone: "X".
You get the stone at the same time you get the Town Hall, meaning it is not in the Shop. The Stones are located in the Town Hall. Starting at Town Hall Lv. 6, a button will appear with the Gold Stone on the face of it when you tap on the Town Hall. Tapping the button will bring up an interface with the Gold Stone inside. The button resembles the buttons on the bottom of your screen when attacking. Click on the Stone and drag it out of the interface, which then disappears. Place the stone on a building of your choosing. The stone shown on the button changes at each Town Hall level, resembling the one you unlocked at that level.
You cannot have more than one stone on one building at one time, or the building may explode! (Not really)
Chapter V. Conclusion
So, in conclusion, the stones each have their own unique abilities to bestow upon the building that have them equipped. You can use them in all sorts of ways, but sometimes, if used incorrectly, the stone can be rendered useless! Each stone has a different color than the rest, as well as a different shape. The stones are located in the Town Hall. You cannot have more than one stone on a building.
Chapter VI. Q&A
In this section I will choose my favorite questions, restate them below, and answer them by editing. (Some questions may not be in comments, but given to me by other means.)
Q:
A: They are visible to attackers, including war. P.S. They will be about the size of a cannon ball from a Lv. 1 Cannon
