For war, make only COMPLETED L1 Inferno tower/xbow available in clan war base

As you know, some war clans like to use the 8.5 and 9.5 system so they have less weighting in war to draw an easier match. However, some will start building ITs/xbows on prep day (so that the tower would be operational in their clan war base), only to cancel the construction after prep day. This is a loophole, and shouldn't be abused as IT and xbow can really affect war match making. This can be easily solved if only completed L1 IT/XBOW are operational by end of prep day. I did a search in the common ideas thread, and I didn't see any mention of inferno towers.

I only don't like it now because I didn't think of it.

Agree, if it's not completed; the building should simply not be available for use in Clan War.

Why would u spend ur time collecting 3 million or 5 million gold only to cancel it and get half the loot back. This is a bad thread

You clearly are not aware this is what some war clan does. They don't care about the gold. They may even gem the gold .... just to abuse the war matchmaking system.

This is a terrible idea. You're probably just salty or rustled that the last clan you were in war against whooped you because they used that strategy.

Agreed... There's no way people are doing this on a frequent basis. You don't get more than 1.5 - 2.5 mill from war bonus so why waste all that money??

1.75m gold for a 24 hour rental of basically a long range L8 archer tower? No need to prevent it.

The negative consequence is that someone starts a legit build before war starts, is penalized in the matching, and doesn't have access to the defense in war. That would be far more common an outcome than the far fetched scenario that is the premise of the thread.

Wow, you guys are pretty clueless, aren't you? I suppose I shouldn't expect much from low levels ... :rolleyes: I'll be nice and clue you in ...

1) Xbow's strength isn't it's range or dps. It's a hp tank. Only low level noob thinks AT and xbows are comparable.
2) This mainly pertains to inferno's.
3) A few million of gold may be a lot to you, but anyone hard core can easily farm 10-20m gold within 24 hours. Your struggles are real ...
4) Are some of us upset because they would like to continue to abuse the loophole? Too weak to war with out abusing the system, are we? :rolleyes:

So you have no problems with getting match up with 9.5 bases with no IT, then they built it and cancel it and does it again next war? You may only be doing it once to gain an one time advantage, but cheap war clans can do it forever and ever ... try not being that short sighted.

Don't get personal. You are talking about an extreme corner case. People reply with the goal of brevity and clarity. You have no basis for assessing someone intellect based solely on the fact that they made a brief statement on the Internet. Talk about your ideas. Talk about their ideas. But don't talk about the people themselves. If your goal is to make people further dislike your ideas then this type of a reply is a good way to accomplish that.

Don't worry about what other ♥♥♥♥♥♥ed clans are doing to get slightly better match ups.
Just get to a point where it doesn't matter if they have an inferno tower or not.
Since you're "such a high level" and "we're all noobs" it really shouldn't matter much to you

I've always thought it shouldnt count in matchups or be available to use until its built. Then only someone willing to start it and gem it done could use it.


I don't really that many people willing to waste their resources canceling building though, and when they pop up in war, it never really seems to make that much difference.

How do you find this out? just curious as to how to see people CoC account....BTW I agree with you completely once they are lvl 1 upgrading to 2 they shouldn't be harmed by building during war but the initial build should have to be completed.

I agree buildings should not be available until they are completed.

Although I bet the number of people doing it on a regular basis would be exceedingly small.

It already does this with the clan castle or so i experienced on my last upgrade, its said my castle was maxed when i scouted it but my cc would not hold more than 30 troops. Probably just a minor bug. I think your idea has merit. But i disagree with the thread you cited as someone else with the same problem as that guy didnt want any upgrades completed during prep day to take effect during that war. I often gem defenses so they can be ready for battle day and i believe supercell makes a pretty penny off of such instances. But as it is, nobody has any advantage over anyone else. You can do anything to them that has been done to you, just gotta be willing to go that extra mile. In order to remedy this all they would have to do is make it so you cant cancel new construction, just upgrades.

The clan castle is unique because the moment preparation day starts the donation slots for the war cc are created in the war map. I'm not sure if the actual defensive HP in battle changes though. In any case, an infrequent but disappointing occurrence as I'm sure many people gem their cc to completion during prep day if there's only a little time left.

I am most likely wrong, but I think this is intentional. From the beginning Supercell wanted to add a twist to TH upgrade timing.

You have to wait for the benefit for regular play. Wars should be no different, been able to restrict war matchmaking abuse…as well as deliberate loot loss should be welcomed with open arms.

You also gain access to buildings as they finish immediately for regular play. Should war do that too? I'd love to see all the complaints about how war bases get stronger as the war progresses.

Some things are finalized when preparation day begins. Other things are finalized when battle day begins. There are reasons for both. Gaining early access to unbuilt defenses was a compromise based on the logic of how defenses are frozen at the start of battle.

Stop crying and learn war strategies. Playing dead, last minute attacks, spying, and this^ are all part of strategy! It's a war game, wars are about strategies and advantages. Ffs don't get angry at people that are smarter/ more clever than you.
