Celebration Ruined by Loot

And just when I'm on 249 lava walls and I'm already celebrating the completion of my long lava wall grind, the loot vanishes and I blow 1.6 million gold on searching. Its not common for me to spend over 300-400k on searching and theres been a few occasions where I've spent over 1 million looking for anything decent but nothing. I like to be patient and don't give up very easily but if I'm not blowing up at this point I wouldn't know what I'm meant to do. I'm not gonna ask Supercell to fix this because its everywhere already, but I wonder how you guys cope with this garbage...

I'm curious to see what threshold you would give up searching, how many searches, or how many hours of searching before you start to get frustrated, then explode and give up. Personally I get annoyed at about 300k spent on search, but I would never give up... how about you guys?

I never spend even close to that. What are you looking for that takes that long to find? Dead base collector raids?

1.6mil gold, for a th10 would mean 1600 searches. I truly cannot believe that in 1600 searches you didn't find a base with decent loot to steal. I think you are using a small army like barch/bam/all archers and are just looking for inactive bases, otherwise I don't see how in 1600 bases you couldn't find a single one to be worth of an attack. I think you should double check the league you are farming in, or the army your are using, and do some changes there.
Anyway, I call that patience.. if you spent this much. 1600 skips, with let's say 3 seconds for each base, would mean 80 minutes of constantly skipping bases.. that's a lot and I would definitely stop after spending 250k tops. If I reach 250k with no base to attack, then I either just call it for the day and try my luck the next one, or change something.. the army or the league.

The win bonus alone is worth it and makes up for some of the lower loot offerings

Yeah I'd rather hit someone for 1000 gold than spend double the max loot trying to find loot...
