Clan War Surrendering

Here is a scenario: your clan has used all of your attacks and is losing in a war, but there are still about 5 or 6 hours left in the war. Now, instead of accepting the loss and starting another war, you are forced to wait out the remaining time and helplessly watch your bases be raided.

Here is my idea: If there was a way for the leader and co-leaders to vote to surrender the war and end it quicker, this scenario would be erased, and it would benefit both clans. Half or more of the leader/co leaders would vote to surrender, and the surrender would be accepted by the opposing clan. Once this happens, the clan war ends just like it would normally, but earlier.

IMO clan XP is given out too quickly as it is. Not really much of a point to give it out quicker and easier.

Sure, but if you surrender, then you get half XP.

This. It seems like clan wars just came out and clans are already up to 6 or 7. We don't need wars ending faster to progress it quicker than it already does.

I believe people would abuse this just for extremely fast Exp. Imagine you get your clan to use all their attacks right away then surrender. Continue to do this every war clans will gain Exp way too fast.

I believe a new type of clan could be created. Booster clans.

Change it so that the surrendering clan doesn't get any XP from surrendering, the winning gets half of what they were supposed to get but the surrendering clan cannot war until a full 48 hours have passed, even if they surrendered.

Why would the winner accept the surrender if they only get half the reward? Just to cut 6 hours? Then this feature would be useless.

Well I mean they didn't have a full fight that's why I was suggesting the half XP, but it could be that the winning clan gets the XP they were supposed to get for winning in the first place. But it can be that the winner can war right after and the surrender can't war until the 48 hours passed, like say the time left is 1 hour, clan A surrenders to clan B, clan A must wait 1 hour to complete the 48 hour cycle, while clan A can war again after the surrender.

this can be easily abused
search, attack, surrender, repeat.

so this is a bad idea, they give 24hrs to prepare and 24hrs to fight, if surrender early you don't give a chance for others who cannot online much to attack.

I think its a good idea.. still have to wait 24 hours for war prep.. its not like a clan can war 3-4 times a day. if its pointless and you know you are going to lose i'd rather cut my losses and start with a new war. By the way only the Leader should be able to make the decision to quit a war. Not the Co Leaders

Hey,your clan was definitely lost in a war but not others! They still need to attack for extra loots! So... disagree

Its been brought up already, and many times in many threads so use the search if possible, but the only way this should be allowed is if the clan that surrenders gets zero clan XP.

I would expect with that requirement all the people that want this would stop requesting it. Because what they really want is a way to get XP faster.

Mainly cos I hadn't seen this and posted similar just now

all goods points made in here so:-
1. Surrender button not active in clan settings until 3 hours before end of war
2. Clan with least stars (leader or CO) can hit the button
3. Leader or CO of winning clan can choose to accept white flag or reject it
4. If rejected war plays out to end as it normally would and usual loot and XP is as it would normally be
5. If accepted winners get loot +2% more and all XP , losers get loot -2% less and no XP
6. If surrender was accepted then both clans can initiate a new war search immediately. No time penalty as you might have been in mismatched war due to bed matchup and got panned and just want to start a new war where you might be more evenly matched

If i will get no xp from surrendering war before 3 hours from the end of the war, I would rather sit around for other 3 hours!!

But there should be no gain from surrendering should there ?

That's the whole point , if you surrender in war you have to lose something ! When the French surrendered to Wellington he didn't go , there you go guys please take these consolation prizes home with you did he?
No they were probably banged up in prison camps LOL
So by all means sit there for 3 hours while the stronger team continue to strip you of more stars and loot..

and thats the choice, lose XP and get out , or sit around and get looted

Someone with the idea of surrendering clan wars may understand that he/she surrenders war only because he/she wants to start a new war ealier!! As for a COC game player, maybe, 3 or 6 hours can be just ignored. "Surrender" idea is not interesting unless it is available the whole time of battle day or at least from 12 hours before the war ends!

That doesn't make sense to me, it seems you are one of these guys other discussions about this have been banging on about, you seem to want quick XP for doing nothing ?

most wars I've been in we have still had a tactical chance at still winning at 12 hours in.. Surrender is the last thing on our mind ! We might still win if we attack well and strategically.

Surrender isnt something you you you want to do early, no this is a mechanism whereby if you see your plight is useless and there is no way your clan can get any more stars , you can choose to sit it out, or surrender for no XP so you can start a new war that you might be more evenly matched in

The winning clan technically take absolutely nothing from you in terms of loot or stars. They *earn* loot and stars from the system, which is their right.

The only thing the other clan can take from you is maybe your pride and dignity. But if someone is surrendering - they probably didnt have any anyway.

Solution/ If you do surrender, you do not get to earn any IMO exp or loot. (meaning not even loss loot)

I think this would be abused. Anyways we fight 'til we die!!!

We like to plan out our attacks so some of my clan guys won't attack to last minute. For us it's not about winning its about how many bases we can 3 star sowe would be really annoyed if they surrendered and we didn't get to attack.

attackers will still get loot bonus for attacking... theyre not gonna give that up ever this is not something we need

Thats why you accept the surrender.. you can wait until you're ready
