General rule is upgrade everything, even if you don't currently use it. My view is upgrade every DE spell when possible. Reason...They're new. New means the intro period is a testing ground for future nerfs. The poison spell will likely be nerfed as level 1 is a powerful lil' puppy and CoC doesn't prefer a powerful level 1 of anything. Upgrading poison is top of my list for that reason. The EQ may be nerfed, though the opinion on its effectiveness varies. Haste will be nerfed in my opinion. Level 1 is as powerful as a maxd Rage so I think CoC will create a separation there as well.
My money is upgrade the DE spells...
