Farming really isn't that hard in this game. If you run into a string of no good base's to hit move up to a new league. Time of day is a big factor as well when all the shields start coming off. As for building an army giant/healer,balloonian,barch,bam,gbarch all great strats. If you have 2 free hours on your hands gem 2 barracks for 20 gems and bam. You can raid non stop for 2 hours its fantastic.

I consider dead base a bonus while I search normally. As long as there's a base with reasonable loot and is not set up in a way to counter my current army I'll dive in. I win some I lose some, it's all a game.
