So thanks for your input but for the time being my base works well. Later on I'll re-evalutate things and see how things go. But I will go out on a limb and say for 1k-1.5k (and possibly to 2k) trophies the style of base I have with everything appropriately levelled up (or even a little weak in my case) works. I'm not saying your advice is dud. I'm saying it's very good but something I'll remember for when I am upgraded and am going for the trophy push.

[edit] I just realised his core is protected by 3 main walls just like mine is. He has compartmentalised his defences more then me. I chose not to so this though.

The ring design was popular back before the wallbreaker update (my base looked like that up until the wallbreaker update several months ago). Now that the wallbreakers are smarter, the ring design only works against low level attackers who don't know how to properly deploy wallbreakers.

If you really want to compare defenses, my last defenses were 24%, 0%, 16%, 24%, 0%, 3%, 24%, 16%, 19%, 16%, 8%, 13%, 23%, etc, with my hybrid layout. The 0%s were DE lightning.

Yes when I have upgraded everything I'll compare to your winning record. And at the 1k-2k trophy level you'd be surprised, most of the attackers don't use WB's well. On average they use 8-10 level 4 WBs and still can't breach the core.

But yeah if when upgraded fully my base is not averaging <25% I'll defo do what you said.

hi OJM, after reading your guide I designed myself a sort of vault, and I would like to hear your opinions

all defence lvl's are correct so you could see if it would hold up

Your ADs are quite exposed but against a ground attack, I think that base will devastate attackers. WBs will have hard time to get too deep and the lack of defences in the core keeps giants away nicely. Excellent junctions, too :) Pretty damn awesome design that is ;)

thanks for taking a look, i'll be testing this design when my last wizard tower lvl7 upgrade finishes, AD's don't really bother me because i never get raided by drags and when i get 4 DE mines deal some serious damage to!

Edit: don't you think the north side is a little weak compared to the other sides?

Once the trap(s) are triggered, the north side is bit weaker, yes. You could seal the wall and if it's still weaker, move the extra archer tower there for bit of extra oompf. It's always the thing when designing a base: can't be 100% sure before it's tested extensively. That's why I decided to add the pictures of bases, that I know to work. :) I'm still confident, that the build works once you got the defences all up and running. Vaults with splashers upgrading (that aren't designed for that) are always at bigger risk.

Yeah that's way I'm waiting for WT to finish, i'll be playing with the north Side a little when I got the design up and running, i'll tell y'all how It worked out
