TH Placement

When using a farming base. Placing your TH completely exposed and undefended or very lightly defended?


As a TH 7 I personally just place it somewhere lightly defended because it soaks up so much damage. I do this to avoid the few archers at the exposed TH and a legitimate attack on my defenses - attacks. I figure make them commit at least a few troops so that it makes them choose. It also makes that particular part of my base less desirable to attack for a pure looter

I myself when picking on farming bases have took the TH for cheep then launched a small attack on an exposed storage - a few times I got a horrible % but huge loot grab



However, at higher TH levels I imagine that defenses don't really need a damage sponge along the perimeter

Personally I have my town hall next to the walls because it fills a spawn gap. But if you can avoid that then undefended is preferable because it makes it more attractive to lower levels who attack for the trophies then leave.

I prefer on the edge of defense, so once the th is down the troops get destroyed immediately.

Put it in a corner.

That will encourage noobs to shield you then leave :)

the point of putting ur th on the outside is to get a free shield. if you get ur th lightly defended less people will try to give u a shield because they know their gonna lose more troops because they still want to attack another base. and imo its a douche move because they have to use more troops and at that point i would try to go and 2 or 3 star your base if i knew i could. if ur just trying to get a shield put it undefended
