Due to the new poison spell, witches, archers, wizards, and other low hitpoint troops are useless now. I have no idea what troop composition to put in the cc. Please help me out. I need to know what to put in th10s, th9s, th8s, th7s, and th6s.

You want to use low lvl troops in a lot of your ccs. Otherwise the opposing clan will pack a haste instead of a poison.
Datas collected from my clan's wars, and a bit of own thinking
10 space = doesnt really matter, opponent won't likely have poison. Go with 2 wiz and 2 arch
15 space = as above, 3 wiz 3 arch (or 1 minion 1 arch)
20 space = dragon
25 space = dragon + filler
30 and 35 probably lava hound + filler, I won't talk about that since I'm not in the situation
I've /often/ seen Valkyries but they don't attack air troops so they become useless against dragons for example (TH7 and TH8)

Just because Poison exists does not mean Witch/Wizards no longer have value.
If they are there, it forces the opponent to take a Poison. If they get over confident not expecting them and take no Poison/Lightning it can cause them major troubles.
Also knowing there is no such troops there, especially on a round two means the player can use a EQ or Haste instead.
For max TH9s, they usually get attacked with some variation of gowiwipe, and a dragon with two loons can be quite effective if the attacker just sends the golems first without close support.
In a recent war, we saw the #1 opposing base use all loons in the cc, and that was very effective. It is a good strategy if there is one max TH10 and the rest TH9s or 8s, since that base is likely to only get attacked once, by its mirror. So there is the element of surprise, and 7 loons deal a lot of damage to golems.
Dragon, valk, balloon. Basically every defensive CC should have at least one of those three now. Some go with a lavahound, which is viable I suppose, I'm just not a fan.Quote:

I do like having one or two wizards mixed in, if you only do high hit point troops that scoff at poison then on cleanup the attacker can either hold the poison to use on skellies (helpful for a hog attack or loon attack if skellies are at the correct ground/air setting for the attack) or bring a haste (helpful with loons mostly).
So for TH9 sometimes I take a dragon, a loon, and a wizard or a dragon and two wizards/two archers...that way if they attack without luring you really smack them with DPS from the wizards. Dragons are mini-tanks but their DPS per slot is quite low.
Right now I'm going with loons instead of a valk to compliment the dragon simply because the loons are so slow they take a long time to pull out and handle directly + a lot of troops cannot target them...it's awesome when a pair of loons follow a golem or pekka around.
Variation is the key to all castle filling. Predictability makes for an easy win especially if your using one of the standard layouts off of the internet. I would strongly recommend having a variation of troops in all of the castles, some with the standard low health high damage and some with the large health lower damage. This will confuse opponents and cause more bad attacks.
I prefer this troops:
10: 1 valk + 1 archers
15: 1 valk + 1 wizard + 3 archers
20: 2 valks + 1 wizard for th6s, 1 dragon for th8s, for th7 it depends. I would prefer 2 valks so other th7s cant 3 star them with ground troops because they would not have a chance against dragons anyway. If there are no enemy th7s without dragons, I would still put in the dragon and hope the attacker is really dumb.
25: 1 dragon + 1 loon. For th8s with maxed ads 3 valks would be an option because they will survive a dragon attack without cc troops and 3 maxed valks means a ruined hog attack most of the time if there are not enough troops to kill the cc.
30: 1 dragon + 1 valk + 2 archers
35: 1 dragon + 1 valk + 1 loon + 2 archers.
It is also possible to replace the loon with 1 wizard. 1 in the cc can still be useful because if the attacker uses the poison on him, he will not have it later in the attack if skeletons pop up.
