If you're the type of player that only has level 16 heroes at this point then you would be a fool to do #2. Hardcore farming is not your thing (which is actually a good thing :D)

Just move up and enjoy TH10. Plus why give your builders a Summer Vacation, they lag enough as it is.

Up your heroes first! High level heroes are important in clan war!

Enjoy TH10! You'll do fine.

You will want to bring those heroes up, try to have one upgrading at a time as you progress through TH10. DE is a lot easier to get and hold onto.

Why go to TH10? A TH9 with L5 clan perks is pretty much the same a TH10 for donations. There's so much to do at TH10 you will wish you had done all the upgrades avaiable at TH9. What are the advantages of TH10, loot penalty means harder farming, you'll be lucky to 2 star in wars, you will be paying mega prices for upgrades which take forever, it's a gemmers paradise if you are rich. If they do bring in a TH11, you will have to do it all again! TH9 is fun and staying there for as long as you can makes sense.......unless you're a glory hunter and want to make Legend one day......hahaha.

Do what's more fun for you? If you are bored to tears farming walls and hero's, move up.

I agree with stitch. If you are at the point where you feel like you want to move up a level, do so. Staying only to upgrade walls and heroes is not your thing by the sound of it. Finish the defense towers, get the lab going with some dark spells, and smash that button ;)

But now that you can find suitable matches without having to press the next button very much (especially in the lower leagues where so many rushed and even dead bases are), TH10 is not nearly as scary when it comes to loot. In fact, I'd say TH10 loot might even be the best as long as you're not rushed... which is the way it should be. Reaching the top level in the game should be rewarded - not penalized.
