I am currently in process of upgrading my walls to level 10. So my question is to upgrade core walls first or to do outside layer walls first?
What are the advantages and disadvantages of both. I would like to know your thoughts.

I think upgrade both of them at the same time
So if u upgrade all outside walls,if they break trough it seem u haven't upgraded any of walls lol
Always core first, since that is generally where your most important stuff is.
I doubt it actually matters... jump spells, WBs, now earthquake....
I always did core firsts, as it's smaller, so you see a result sooner...
core always.
Pros of core walls:
Harder to get to central defenses, making them last longer, therefore killing more attacking troops
Cons of core walls:
Easier to get to the resource storages if not in the core
Pros of outer walls:
Harder to get into base
Cons of outer walls:
Wall breakers easily access outer walls, making it easier for them to break in
I personally do the very core first, then all intersections of walls, then build out from the core
I always thought core first, most of the WBs, spells and or heroes will have been used to get into core. Thus most of the anti wall problems will be used on the somewhat weaker walls. When they get inside they have to fight off the high walls to get the good stuff
I always do core first, then complete compartments, working my way out from the core, and finally the outer walls.
I always upgrade JUNCTIONS first.
That way, you make breaking into multiple compartments harder. Once all compartment junctions are done, I'll do the core. Once I have enough that the core is done and some of the second layer, i'll move the upgraded core walls to the second level. Once they break through 2 levels of walls, chances are, they're going to get to your core.
So I aim to have the second layer stronger, then go back to re-upgrading the core.
It depends on your base design but I think first upgrade joints then core then intermediate and after all outside walls!
