I have been reported but I am not sure if I deserve it

Hello everyone. I am new to the forums and this is my first post. I hope this is the right place to post this.

Anyway so I was chatting on global around a week ago. I am not in a clan because I am an inactive player. As usual I see a ton of people begging other clanless people to join their clan. It was pretty boring and I got sick of it. So I start asking people to join my "clan". Yeah... I asked people to join my clan which doesnt exist. Quite a few people were surprised at first and thought I was crazy. After some time they realized the joke and helped me fool other people by saying that they could see that I was in a clan or that weak players cannot see my clan. I felt it was a harmless joke and I dont think I used any abusive language either. Most of the players received the joke well.

Now the problem is that a couple of people didnt like my joke. Well thats ok... I understand that people have different tastes. But one of them said he/she reported me.

Now I am not sure if I should have been reported for a harmless joke. I didnt use any abusive language nor did I insult anyone or display aggressive behavior. Please tell me whether I should have been reported or not.

Reporting is no issue as long as you are not mass-reported.

The way reporting works is that if you are reported 5 times in global, you are banned from global chat for 24 hours.

If you get enough of these temporary reports, you will be temporarily banned from the game. If it goes on still, you will be perma-banned.
You have nothing to worry about, go tell that person on global this. :D

He used the report feature near the mute button. You won't be banned. I'm sure that because when you report to supercell game reloads so you can't get a message anymore on global

Global reporting does not require justification for a global ban. Just 7 people within 24 hours that didnt like you enough to hit the report button

I have been reported several times on global simply because I was trying to recruit, and some people felt they would have more chances to recruit themselves if I was not there as a competitor... Reporting on global is a complete joke, doesn't rely on anything solid. I now tend to simply avoid global, as I finally realised my chances to recruit decent members on global was very close to nothing.

I think SC should completely review global by :

1/ Forbidding access to global for people who don't have a clan castle (would already avoid all those people who create a fake base with a nice girl's name only for messing up on global.

2/ Putting people on globals per lvl. I don't see the point being a lvl 150 in a clan recruiting lvl 100+ to get on a global with mainly lvl 5-20 people... I would prefer to be directly in touch with people at the same lvl, both for recruiting purpose and because those are the people I can directly share/discuss with

You are better off being reported and being banned from global for 24 hours than to actually be on global juts join a random clan for cc troops

What is the point of global?

Global is basically a stomping ground for trolls.
