My favorite way of deploying balloons is to use some dragons as meat shields. This works best at lower levels, where you find semi exposed or exposed air defenses, send in some dragons as meat shields, and then deploy balloons after the ad locked onto the dragon. This can work surprisingly well, taking down several air defenses to make the balloon raid much easier.Quote:

first look where the air defenses are placed, choose a village where they are far to the outside. Use some troops to destroy the air defences and some archer towers and you are good to go!
I seem to be having problems with archer tower taking balloons out too easily
I use giant, healer, balloon. Wait until towers are locked on the giants and then pop the balloons. Really effective against single pockets in bases.
When I use balloons I just make 32 balloons and 30 goblins, and take out the air defenses with the balloons. I may or may not lightning a wizard tower, will if I think I need to, and once all of the defenses are taken out, then I lay in the goblins who get all the stuff.
My experience on ballooning is mostly of 6* bloons, but maybe you can fish out some tips from this:
