I've just lost count how many times I have checked on my base between the last post on this thread and now.
It's like when you look at your watch, five seconds later somebody asks you what time it is and you look again. I'm sure people who play clash have a combination of OCD and ADHD, compulsive attention deficit. I've check my base this morning, and cleared collectors. I have 4 hours of a shield left, with no reason to log in during those four hours, but I will.

Thanks for this thread OP.Knew I had 11hrs 30 mins shield this morning and yes I have 10 hrs 20 mins left on it.But I did get 3 GEMS from a log:thumbsup:
It is no accident. How many times do you check your twitter/facebook/whatever? It's not just clash, all the stuff on smartphones is designed to keep you checking on them. Little addiction inducing machines is what they are.
Why? Because the brain develops a "reward" response in anticipation of something new happening, even if there's nothing new at all. But you get a short buzz each time, so you do it again, and again, and again...
After days/weeks/months it becomes pretty much an addiction. That's at least part of the reason clash is so popular.

Got exposed TH, getting attacked... For 99% I know I get a 12h shield anyway, and mostly will be sniped.

Let's say about an hour or two, maybe three later I need to check again, by no reason.
Somehow I empty all mines/collectors, but actually I don't need to, since noone will touch em for at least 8 more hours... But feeling kinda greedy, you know, my treasure.
Today I forced myself again not to touch the collectors/mines, was kinda hard :smirk:
On war days it's a different thing, just wanna know whats happening, take a very quick look at attacks. If I got time, I watch all the replays, some even twice or more - just the learning 'from others goods and bads' thing, and I love it.
Knowing the habits of some clanmates very well now, so I almost can forecast by 95% what they will do next, when they drop which spell, what mistakes they repeat once more...

Just curious. Is the whole worrying about a shield and getting your collectors more of a passive playstyle? I attack so much that I don't really care about shields... within reason... I like my nightly shield or a shield during work but my income is raiding not collectors haha.
Or am I just misreading most of these posts...
Occasionally i find myself staring at my base for 5-10 minutes not doing anything. My base is fused with my soul.
