The compulsion to check to your base.....

So I have just over 2 days left before my upgrade to TH10 is complete, as it stands my storages are full, my CC is full, other than a few dark spell levels in my lab everything else is maxed for TH9.

I am currently sitting on a 12 hour shield and I plan to buy a 2 day shield so that I can let my collectors and mines fill, on top of that I deliberately joined a clan that is not active in chat. I am basically giving myself a break a from clash.

So realistically there is no reason for me to log on. But I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was checked my base.... before heading to work I checked my base, after I got to work I checked my base.

I checked my base 3 times in the space of 2 hours when there was absolutely nothing to check up on, it just seems like a habit, even as I am typing this I have a compulsion to turn on my phone and log and check .... god knows what.... there are rarely any donation requests and I am certainly not going to get attacked and there is no war to check up on.

Is this normal? Has anyone else got this habit as well?

Yeah, it's just a habit many of us develop; I've done it too. I don't really think anything of it.

Yeah I do sometimes. It's kind of weird that for some reason you would want to check your base for no reason.

I think this could be the clash version of when a smoker quits initially, quite often you find them going through some of the actions they used to do when smoking.

The only difference is that it's a more expensive hobby and more harmful to your health.

And when not checking base, logging into the forum to read new threads. I don't need TV, the forum provides drama, the "realism" of reality TV, and comedy... all in one place. :p
