Actually, I'd prefer they do that. Adding 2 levels would invariably create some interesting choices for people to make as they upgrade. Particularly if they add something as game changing as infernos at lvl 12.

Townhall 11 shows no innovation from supercell. Continuing to widen the gap between the opposite spectrums is never a good idea. It never works in any level based game (look at mmo as an example and the reasons for level caps) and will not work here.
Supercell has more than enough resources to develop end game content for maxed players. Clam wars can be just one of many options.
At some point maybe, but I'm voting against it currently because I'm almost a maxed TH9 and don't want TH11s crushing me on defense once I reach TH10.
Then where are the maxed out players supposed to go? The loot penalty prevents early players from leaving the game because they won't get everything taken but it keeps the top bored because updates take much longer to come out than the new stuff takes to upgrade and figure out.
There needs to be a huge update to keep the top interested because I'm not even there and getting bored. The only thing left after maxing is trophy pushing and Clan Wars.
I'm against TH11, for many reasons.
- So few players currently have maxed TH10. Adding a TH11 to the game would not benefit very many players.
- It would extend the finish line so far that it would frustrate some players and make them quit.
- Many hardcore gemmers would be upset, because they would have to spend thousands more dollars to max out again. Some of them would likely quit.
- The leaderboard would consist of only hardcore gemmers who maxed TH11 right after it came out. This would further widen the trophy gap between gemmers and non gemmers. It would be detrimental to the issue of fixing the clouds in high trophy matchmaking, which Supercell stated that Legend league was supposed to eventually fix.
I totally think that there should be a TH11!
I'd actually like to see Town Halls 1-20.
It would take a lot of work though, I think they'd need to re-structure the build times and cost. Town Hall 8 in my humble opinion is kinda two Town Hall levels defensive structure wise, same with TH9 and walls, one defensive structure upgrade per town hall level would be nicer! There are lots of things I'd like to see but who knows what will happen in the future.
Was just coming here to post that. :D It really does seem like the right event/venue to announce something huge like this. I figure it'll be TH11, Clan War Tournaments, or some combination of the two.
Depends on your definition of "maxed". If you mean maxed everything, including walls, then you are correct. If you mean just maxed defenses and offenses, then I think the number is significantly larger. If you omit maxed heroes and all maxed offense (IOW: someone with maxed farming/war troops, but lower level valks, would be considered "maxed") from the equation, then the number is likely larger still.
I know I just hit TH10 after playing for almost one year (actually started late July of last year). I expect to be "maxed" (in as much as defenses and my offensive troops are concerned) in probably six months or so. No doubt things are more expensive, and also have significantly longer build times, but eventually I'll want something to look forward to. All my defenses were maxed for TH9 before I started upgrading. Walls could have been better, as could heroes, but I was going to be bored really quick with builders just sitting around sleeping all day.
When has this ever not been a problem? With this logic, TH9 and TH10 never should have been added.Quote:

As above, the game has had this issue since day ONE. Why is it more relevant now than it was in the past? Game expansion should be stifled because it might cause people to have to play/pay again? Oh noes! The horrors!Quote:

Not really. The Legend League fixed that permanently. I really doubt there would be this huge explosion of gemmed maxed TH11 players anyways (there would no doubt be a good number, but not to the point that it would push all those maxed or near-maxed TH10s down to Champion league). How many independently wealthy people do you think play Clash that could afford to just max it all on release day? Especially if they added another gold/elixir storage and actually adjusted the costs for new structures up instead of sliding everything down as they've done in the past?Quote:

The clouds issue is, again, addressed by the Legend league. It's only been barely a month since that update came out, and the "fix" will take time as it takes folks effort to effectively percolate to the top. The thing is, it will happen. That's the competitive nature of Clash and trophy pushing.
