why cant they make it like boom beach of where if you win a battle you get your troops back but if you lose you lose all of your troops on the battle field.

I would rather like it more if your troops received no damage then you get them back rather than getting them all back.
This is a bad idea. People could farm continuously because winning is not that hard. There is a reason there are costs for troops, to keep the elixir resources under control and not have people overflow with it.
If you want this play boom beach.
this idea was in my program , but it is not done without any article first we must increase the troop training time , and in the next step we must define that if all of defences destroyed , then live troops can rebounded
But now coc kills live troops :| our problem exactly is on troops cost , after winning the game with 3 star live troop cost must be regained , and also war loot always not enough , because in th 7 we must pay 300000 elixir for dragons only , but the war loot is less than 280000 :\
I think regaining survived troop cost is better idea ...
It's not a bug. It's designed so you don't create a strong army, destroy a weaker base, losing minimal troops, and then do it over and over. Also, if you have to wait for troops, you're more apt to boost barracks and complete times, making more money for supercell. They aren't going to change something that reduces revenue.
You should not retain troops that survive because:
a) People may be able to continuously attack putting strain on the match making systems
b) Would have to be balanced by removing some elixir from system
c) Removes Supercell resource revenue
d) I may want to quickly change strategies to attack different villages and not have to remove an expensive troop
Boom beach is generally limited on how many times you can raid.
You have your network of islands. Once you've destroyed them all, you have to stop. So even if you had the most OP Army, you can only do so much damage at any given time.
In Clash of Clans, you are not limited in that way. If you could keep your 11 Level 5 Dragons, you could go down to Sub200 and just back to back to back farming everyone you see. It wouldn't matter! Even if all they had was 50k of each, you just hit them, destroy their base then find the next one. Since you have no elixir expense and no time to build, you could hit a base every 3 minutes.
You can just hit the first base you see every time.
You could easily make a million of each an hour, while staying online and untouched, simply spamming dragons on every base you see in Bronze or lower.
