Extreme clan war mismatches

I'm not sitting here and saying that every war is perfectly balanced between clans but to cry about extreme war mismatches and only show one singular player in your clan against one singular player in the opposing clan is disingenuous to say the least. If you can show that your opponent's total offence and defence weight of all the members in the war massively exceeds yours then I'll agree that you are extremely mismatched but not on the strength of one player versus the opposing mirror.

@Efficientclasher First, please don't quote the whole thread. Second, the other clan is the complete opposite of what you said; he has pink and purple walls with max TH10 defenses. The TH9 has a lot of pink walls too.

TH level really doesn't explain anything at all. Does their TH 8 have maxed defences and troops or do they still have TH7 level defences and troops? (using the TH8s as you mentioned that the top 2 are out gunned). Do your TH 5s have better troops/defences than theirs etc etc.

As I said in my previous post it is a total of all defenses, troops, walls and heroes not an individual match against the opposing mirror number. I also said that mismatches do happen but this doesn't so far appear to be an extreme mismatch as you claim.

If you can, come join for a minute and see for yourself. I won't go through the trouble of listing the specs of every base here.

This is just a tiny slice of a large pie! Where is the rest of the match ups?

Your post lends nothing to your argument until you share the rest of the war match ups. Even though your #1 is mismatched (by the way, he's a rushed TH9), the rest of the board could lend mismatches in your favor. You see this is "Clan" Wars which means that it scores, and matches, bases based on the whole groups strength... not individually base vs base strength

This happens all the time with my clan. We have a very balanced war roster of TH7-10s. Even though we may have horrible mismatches against us...there are usually mismatches in our favor too.

So you're calling hive rushed, but to me it looks like he maxed his TH8 defenses. Where's your logic?

Regarding the low levels, our TH5 have level 3 walls and theirs have level 5.

I don't think I have ever been matched with someone with exactly the same defences and troops - and I don't expect to be, it would be impossible.

Take a clan view and not an individual view.

i am generally placed at number 1 in our wars and often I don't get hit. Often I don't hit their number 1.

It is not unusual for me to be matched at number 1 with someone with max heroes and walls and my attack would be a spectacular fail.

Get your players to hit for 3 stars with their first attack and use their second to clean up, even if it means leaving their number 1 untouched. It is rare that you need to 3 star every base to win a war and if you do then you are just up against some good opponents.

I joined and poked around. Here is my take- it is a bit of a mismatch, but like most things there is a reason behind it. Going at 15v, both clans have a wide TH swath- TH9 to TH5s for OP, and TH10 to TH4 for the other clan. I cant really say its engineering because the upgrades are all over the place. Just don't think SC can take a clan with all those 6s and 4s...add in a TH10 and 9- and find a viable matchup. Low and behold there is a second clan searching at the same time with a really odd structure- so SC throws the two of you together.

I think after SC introduced the war opt out option, lots of players don't participate in war. And thus matchmaking has got harder for SC since available clan pool is limited. One the clan pool is limited, SC loosened the matching criteria. Hence we see those mismatch.

Personally I do not like war opt out feature.... Wish it was like before!

You totally missed the point which I understand because it was a lot to read. For what it's worth, this is not a very significant mismatch based solely on th levels alone. Make sure you prioritize offense over defense if you want to win wars, clearly you're not doing this by your clan thread and your posted requirements. Which by the way was very entertaining to read.

Looking at your line up just reinforces my post on page 2,if you bothered to read. The spread is reduced to an average, not of town halls, but by the added weight of everyone's individual defences. To match tose specifics would not be easy, and I'd question the wisdom of any clan with that kind of spread going to war. When you look at wars, the type of attacks certain th levels have available will determine what 'tier' of war it will be. It's not detailed, but as I see it:

Properly progressed th10's should war together. They have an equal chance against other th10 clans
High th9's and early th10's should war together. Similar armies and ability to defend.
All th9 clans
Even split th9/progressed th8 clans, maybe with an odd th7 at the bottom
all th8 clans
Th8/th7 clans
Very early th7's and high th6's
Th6 and below

the reason being, that before you get dragons, 3-starring is a tricky task on anyone, especially coupled with inexperience at that level. Those bases will be instantly stomped on without a thought in th7 wars or higher. Once th7's get dragons they can hit and 3-star anything lower, th7, many th8's and if required, even pick up cheap 1 or even 2-stars on th9's and 10's that are poorly designed.

if you think about the other tiers I've listed you soon realise that the effectiveness of the top and bottom player in each case needs to be able to deal with the odd potential higher base if they are top, or be able to have two effective strikes against a good range of the lower field, if they are the bottom player.

your wide spread is not only forcing an unusual spread of matches, but the bottom end of your list is practically useless if you get a matchup of your average.... Which could likely be all high th8's, where gowipe will be needed to kill them, whereas every single one of them will be able to destroy your bottom half, and still be capable of 2-starring your top players, if they use their heads.

your war combo is just not a sensible spread.
