Knowing your town hall level is helpful, but if you are a TH8 I would suggest looking at some of Pingfao's designs, they all work very well.

currently I'm using pingfao a farming base and it works amazingly but I'm going to start a trophy push and I feel weird when I copy a lot of bases.

I don't think anyone has ever posted a base design guide on here. But you would know that having already done a search, I'm guessing.

Of course there's a base design guide. Mufasa (the great) made it. Here it is, http://forum.supercell.net/showthrea...gn-for-Dummies is a great guide.
