People are making more of these to get the mastery of the machines faster. I normally don't buy them, but I have had 3 boats calling for tofu dogs today. I was able to find them right away. 😊
And a few updates ago, it was smoothies and before that wooly chaps and before that sweaters and before that raspberry mochas and before that bacon and eggs etc etc etc. I am sure I probably forgot one or two and someone else will fill in the blanks. The best thing to do is make the best out of it. When the visitor event comes again, buy them at reduced prices. Heck buy them whenever you see them at reduced prices and sell them at max. Folks with boats will buy them and so will Greg . It won't take too much longer. Already a few folks have posted that they mastered the machine. The rest of us will follow and you will have a new item to complain about. It is as sure as day follows night. It is the one thing we can count on.Quote:

As for the Pasta Kitchen, there was some smart thinking on SC's behalf, I can sell those in my RSS in 10 job lots at max price no trouble. Even better than honey toast.
I make just enough tofu dogs and cloche hats to have enough in case a boat asks for them and to fill a box of 10 for Greg or Tom at the back of my shop.
Nowhere near mastery.
At least tofu dog and cloche hat ads provide a break from so many wheat ads.
I'm not seeing them a lot. So I guess this is level-dependent. I won't complain because I will prob be doing the same thing when my turn comes.
i said the exact same thing! i mean, i can understand why there are a ton of them on the newspaper simply because they're easy to make. what i don't agree with, is how SC is giving an easy option for a machine thats only available for the high level players. you would think its only right that a machine unlocked at a high level would come with some sort of difficulty. take the pasta kitchen for eg. all 3 items either require cream, or butter, or cheese. now thats fair and balanced. that way, you dont suddenly see too many of one item on the newspaper. so yea i think its ridiculous.
for me i make corn dogs and top hats and i sell them at the shop but i dont advertise them. i advertise wheat, and im sure people who found their way to my shop seeing all these corn dogs and top hats would be pleasantly surprised. i like surprising people this way lol

For red cloche hats they are the only item on the hat machine that doesn't require feathers. But 15 sheep cannot supply enough wool to keep making them.
I think the real issue is demand. Only high level players get orders for red hats and tofu dogs and where boat and truck order randomization includes every other item from all levels the likelihood of getting orders for these is relatively low.
Indigo is also a low demand item, used in woollens, violet dresses and sun hats. So it shows up in the paper a lot too.
Wheat on the other hand is easy to grow and is also in high demand.
I think that the numbers of these items have actually reduced recently - I have notice an increased demand for both on truck orders, boats and town - I suspect that SC has already tweaked the demand to address the abundance of them. I must say that the other hats are easy to make so I never make cloche hats myself as I know they are freely available when I need them. Tofu dogs are harder because the other dogs require sauces to make them, and they are in high demand elsewhere. So my stand makes tofu dogs all day but I have always managed to sell the excess in the rss, as long as you keep putting adverts on
yea but compared to growing olives and making olive oil for corn dogs, or smelting coal bars for top hats, growing lettuce and tomato is nothing.Quote:
