A reduction in upgrade time is always possible, SuperCell have at times adjusted down upgrade times. Although this typically occurs when a newer upgrade comes in at the same time.
They add more things to add complexity to the game and make it last longer. Your idea ruins that.
Diminish the update time: Even if the upgrades take long, they also unlock better troops, therefore I find it only normal for them to last for long. In my opinion, the upgrades are fine for what they give us.
Allow the upgrade of two troops while in the lab: Ruled out. Please read the sticky threads.
