Every time I post wheat after 2 pm I always have one person come through and buy all the ones that are advertised, no other wheat. I am a wheater and my silo is almost full. I really need the free ads to actually stay. Even putting them in the back doesn't work. Is this just me or does anyone else have it?
List of items that will get ad sniped possibly and solutions:
Wheat: Post earlier or later in the day instead of noon-4pm.
Tomatoes:small chance of getting sniped but almost unavoidable.
It's a bot. It's reading the feed directly from the SC servers and buying up your ads, to keep you from selling wheat.
It's likely ha˘kers who are wheating and selling the expansion items they get for real cash. They need people to buy their wheat, so are targeting other wheaters to reduce the competition.

Thanks for the explanation, Janilee. It would make sense why one person didn't want competition. The person also followed me, so I'm pretty sure it's just that. My trick is to sell early in the morning late at night or try to advertise in the back. Advertise in the back doesn't help much but it gives a chance for it to actually allow people to buy your stuff.
The same thing is happening to tomatoes. I might as well keep a list of items in here being ad sniped.
Well this game is global so your morning is someone else's evening, so time doesn't mean anything, with the possible exception that when the Asians are awake, a lot of activity takes place. A lot of people and a lot of game playing goes on there.Quote:

Yeah, Asians, mainly Indians are 12 hours or so off of my time zone, so basically I just post early or late and its easy to get it done because early is late for them and late is early for them. And my tomatoes just don't sell. And I did just see your thing on putting ads in back, you might just wanna put them in the middle.
Wel my tomatoes kind of sell, only the ads though.
I suggest an ad on indigo or strawberies. Or maybe full price wheat/corn.
Have you tried advertising corn? I'm wondering how that would turn out with the bought bots. Boughts? ;)
Excellent advice! Those are both likely to stay active for a while. I seldom plant either one (my indigo fields are decorative) and occasionally buy them, but not necessarily from a farm that is advertising them, just from a farm I'm visiting for other items--especially low level farms.Quote:
