The new poison spell is making troops such as archers, witches and wizards useless in the cc. Now people have to resort to drags, balloons and valks and it's just a pain as these troops are generally not great for cc. I think there should be some change with the poison spell as it's making the strategy behind cc troop composition useless as wizards witches and archers dont work against poison.
Personally, I think it's good, that there are now other troops in the clan castle. :)
True... But wiz+archers+minions+witch are still usually helpful with th6 and below. Usually no th8 attacks to those people. But past late th7, you really can only use dragons and hounds.
I do agree that it does make it much easier, especially in wars. Wizards aren't a problem any more. However for lower levels they still have to deal with them.
Loons are an excellent CC troop - but I do agree to an extent. Wizards and Witches are now useless.
If you don't like it, you should quit. They've already nerfed offense so bad by adding new buildings, more hp to existing buildings, etc and not doing anything to help offensive attacks. After all the nerfs, the poison spell is absolutely necessary or you'd have th9s attacking th7 and 8s in wars to even be able to get stars.This game is already a shell of what it used to be because of people like you complaining about everything little thing. So PLEASE just quit.
By making some troops weaker they have made others relatively stronger and overall more balanced. Why is it wrong for a dragon or a hound to be more effective than 35 barbs or archers? Why is it wrong that more expensive troops have more worth?
Before everyone in wars basically had wizards, witches, or small troops. Now there are more dragons, hounds, valks, loons, as well as still mixing in wizards and small troops too. There is far more variation than before.
Agreed. The spell adds more variation. Now have to find balance of what want again eg. mixing high health, with fast moving or total health etc. A lot more comb's are available, than standard witch/wizard or wizards or the half year archer lure etc.Quote:

Over the last week I've tried this many times and in many cases all arch and goblins worked great and left attacker at 48%.
Yes the spell made the cc be more diverse. But also now attackers now have more things to expect rather than the old 1 light and kill the witch and cc is pretty much done. I can see this spell as a positive addition for both sides at the same time. The use of the spell & CC composition decides who is the winner side neither CC nor spell
Note: I'm talking at Champs 2 and attackers from Champs 1 so everything used by attacker is maxed.
Gobs work especially well (with witches) because contrast in attack speed could take time, but they also have high damage and high speed and so they run run run out of poison.
