I think allowing TH8s the ability to upgrade walls to lvl 9 would suffice, considering the TH kind of gets shafted from an offensive approach, and it's clearly the TH that gets the "defensive bump." Only seems appropriate. Plus, avoids the problem they have with no elixir use early on.

TH8 does not need an offense buff. Yes th9 gets lvl6 giants, but they also have to fight much stronger bases. Attacking a maxed base one th level below you gets more difficult with every th level. Smashing a th7 with th8 farming troops is really easy. Smashing a max th9 base with a farming troops is really ugly as a th10. With the new update it got a bit easier because you have one jump + rage available every second raid as well as poison for the cc troops, but it is still really hard. No chance of smashing them with barch and no spells like you smash the th7s at th8. All defenses are 1 level higher, there are more defenses and you have 2 xbows constantly hammering on your troops.

The fairest thing to do would be to leave things the way they are. They already made it easier for th8s. If you don't like th8 then hurry up and upgrade defenses to get to th9. We all had to deal with th8. I had to get barched by OP heroes.

Make sure to leave collectors and storages outside. :thumbsup:

Th8 also probably gains the most important tool for destroying th9-10 though with the golem along with lvl 3 pekkas. You can pretty much two star any th9 with go wipe and even decent th10s as well.

And why should th7s not be complaining about you th8s? You gain the poison spell which pretty much frees up another spot for that third rage(that th7s don't have) along with the earthquake spell which works as well as if not better than the th9s jump spell!

Th9s don't get squat in terms of decent troop lvls to take down each other whereas you can with the tiniest skill needed 3 star another th8.
Th9s actually need to work for that 3 star against another th9.

In terms of defence you th8s get the largest buff before th10, you get two whole point defense levels which can help a great deal when defending. Compare this to th9s who only get 1 new level.

Don't even start on the aq though, haven't you noticed all the complaint threads about her? If she is the only reason your complaining then man up ♥♥♥♥♥. Get a real base not just a weak base that a th7 could beat up.

Also in terms of loot cap, you do realise that every th9 point defense upgrade is above 3 million don't you? Compare this to th8 where the maximum upgrade cost is only 3 million it kinda puts it into perspective on just how expensive stuff is at th9.

Getting to maxing each th level a fully maxed th9 has a ridiculously large wall cost that is only farmed by hardcore players of bots in China. The th9 xbow upgrades to lvl 3 costs 7 million and pretty much the only use the xbow has other than great range is huge hit points.

Back to heroes, if you are a truly dedicated th9 willing to do heroes you pretty much have them down 24/7 anyway which negatives the usefulness of the queen when farming entirely. Maybe you th8s should get a few more king levels but it doesn't even come close to the cost and the time of hero upgrades at th9.

This summed up everything. Oh sure TH9s get the Archer Queen, OP. But the AQ is pretty much useless before level 5 and some say it's still useless before level 15. And before you say the TH9s get L30 heroes, it takes a lot of DE for them to upgrade along with their combined 50 levels of upgrading ( if you maxed TH8). That's a lot of sleeping time. When I was a fresh TH9, a TH10 just steamrolled my base with their level 40 heroes. Of course I lost, but I could always just raid for it back. That's just how the game works and when you find good loot from a TH7, I doubt you sit there and feel sorry for them.

I rushed to th9 for the aq and all of the other perks of th9, only people who were able crush me were th10s and strong th9s, th8 i just a nightmare.

What I'm complaining is the imbalance. Yeah, my thread is a little confusing but I didn't really mean to add something to th8. The "incentives" of th9 is just to many imo. Their Aq that has a very long range is more than capable of getting the loot th8's are protecting. Let's say that's what you call the incentive, but what about the small loot penalty? They'll just have to destroy the first line of defense with barch, gibarch, or any farming army and they can simply put the aq to get the loot.

If you're staying at th8 for a while and understand that th9s have better troops and such and realise that th9s can steal loot from th8s pretty easy why not move to th9? Maxing th8 will just be a waste of time imo.
