Supercell - Roll back to attach matching logic, lighting spell, and potion time
Dear Supercell,


You changed the attack matching logic, lighting spell effect, potion brewing time about a week ago. As a result, player with Th8 and lower now cannot accumulate any resource now. Whenever I saved something, I would be immediately raided by someone who is one or two th levels higher than me. They have king, queen, and much tougher balloons, giants, and spells.


COC used to have three mechanisms to prevent this from happening. 1) Matching method: The old matching method will take a lot of searches (and a lot of gold) find a good raid. Hereby it discourages long search and protects the user like me from being found immediately. Meanwhile, other low level users may find me first and decide to raid me (with less loss for me). Because of the old matching method, it takes a long time (30 min to 1 hr) for raider to have shield, giving me time to revenge. Now, everyone almost immediately has a shield, making revenge impossible. 2) Lighting spell: I used to be able to revenge with lighting spell on attacker’s dark elixir storage, giving me a good intimidating method. 3). Spells brewing time: It was much longer and hereby reduces the frequency of looting.


With the new mechanism, th9 and th10 are living in a dream and we are living in a nightmare.


Please rolled back the old matching logic, lighting spell, and potion time. Otherwise, it is sad for me to waste all my effort accumulating everyday. Along with a lot of other entry players, I will quit CoC soon.

How about this, supercell. You design a th8 layout with average th8 walls and defense, along with a bunch of archers in cc. Then give me a level 10 king, level 10 queen, 2 max heal spells, 2 max rage spells, 20 level 6 giants, 10 level 6 bombers, and 120 lvl 6 archers, and a cc full of lvl 6 archers.

If any of your th8 design can hold me off from taking your dark exlier storage, 2/3 of gold and exlicer storage, then you win. You do not need to change your current matching scheme, lighting spells, and spell brewing time.

But I can get you EVERY SINGLE TIME, just like in cc war.

I actually have another suggestion. How about create a machine generated th11 with much better attack weapon than th10? It will automatically loot th10 and th9 once they sign off. Then let us see who is moaning.

If they buff things or nerf things, people cry. If they try and help the masses (get rid of zapping), people cry. Please just stop complaining.

Sadly, your issue is one that has been addressed many times by many members of this forum. People above you will beat you up, no matter what. When you farm as a TH8 your best targets are rushed TH9/10 so you have no penalty or well-built TH7s that you can stomp for free loot. You beat up the people under you to get to where you want to be, so getting beat up by the people above you is only fair. I don't think there is any way for SuperCell to fix this issue, since the old MM system had complaints similar to yours as well.

Good luck with farming your base and the only real advice I can give is to either design a better base layout that deals with the troops you see most often, or just stay on for longer periods of time so when you get raided you're losing a smaller percentage of your work.

All of those benefits to those that raid you applies to you too. So if you actually are being raided for more you should also be raiding for more.

Do you know how long it takes a th8 to loot 300K gold, 300K Elixer, and 2K DE? It takes at least 4-5 consecutive attacks and needs to win all of them. We are talking about hours of work. Once you sign off, your loots are immediately gone.

Isn't it funny eh? You do realize that all the th10 and th9 players have been in your exact position as well? Your fighting a lost cause. It won't change, just grow your base and become bigger than your opponents. You say you can't loot any profit because of it only tells me your don't play enough.

ok, im a th8, i read ur thread as soon as you posted, but i was too lazy to reply to threads like this, cuz it feels like wasting time doing so.

and no, the amount of loot you mentioned just takes 1 raid, or 2 raids worst case scenario.

Someone else made a thread similar to this earlier only they were a freshly upgraded TH9 saying it was too hard to keep loot. It is hard to keep loot but there are things outside of matchmaking to help increase your odds of holding on to it. I'm sure you know to put your TH outside your base but this only works to an extent if you've stockpiled a large amount of resources. I've heard many say it helps that when farming you try and focus on 1 particular resource and don't try and build up all three at once because it makes you a bigger target. What ever resource you are going for make sure this is your best protected of your storages. Sure TH 9s and 10s will still wipe you if you want but the key is to try and make it as inconvenient as you can for them so they'll be more likely to pass you up instead of wasting their whole army just to try and get your 200k Elixir and nominal amounts of other resources. You might have to use gem shields from time to time in order to protect large quantities when you're saving up for a big upgrade. I'm sure there are other things you can do as well. It's not going to stop you from ever getting attacked but even the littlest things can sometimes make a difference. I probably didn't tell you anything you didn't already know and I know it's frustrating to spend a day raiding only to lose half of it to someone else but that's kind of the name of the game. Think of what those people you raid must be saying.

this is your problem. you obviously don't know how to raid. that is 2 attacks at the most.

If you need 5 attacks for 300k then younare way to impatient. You should not be raiding bases with less than 100k-200k resources each. Keep hitting the next button. Seriously, how many th9s do you attack? Probably few. How many 8s do you attack? Probably more. How many 7s do you attack? Probably a ton.

Sorry you don't feel as special as your mommy tells you that you are, but you are asking people to do things you aren't doing (and you won't be doing when you hit 9 btw). Everytime a 9 attacked me (cause thats all who would in the old MM system also) they were all up in my base with lvl6 giants and healers and all that fun stuff. It will always happen, and you will do it. If you find a base with 600k combuned resources, you attack it. Its nothing personal, just farming.

I am talking about net gain, meaning the resource you looted minus the resource you spend to loot. If you are a true th8, you need to loot 350K on gold and 450K on exlier (90K for troops and 60K for spell) for the 300K net gain in both gold and exlier. You can hit a jackport here or there. You can't do it every time.

It is very hard for a th8 to loot a max th8. For th9 and th10, it is a different story. Can you loot a max th9 as a th9?

I understand what you are saying but zapping kept the TH9's away from us TH8's allowing us to fight other TH8's better, no there is no easy fix for this issue but the zapping helped. Now TH9's have no reason to not just bulldoze us TH8's
the game is becoming a struggle for lower level players.
please reinstate zapping.

OMG have you heard of barch. you don't need a strong army or spells to farm. if you are spending 140k per raid at th8 you are doing it wrong.

Why would I zap a th8 when i can bulldoze you anyway? See the logic problem there? Cause i don't need spells to doze you amd only saved the lightnings for th10s with way too much DE

First, Nobody care about th unless you are in gold level 1. As a th8, it is impossible to loot there. Second, They will dump all the troops and cc troops on you for the resources. Th9 and th10 will come out, search for a good target, and the loot. After loot, they can wait for an hour for next one. Because they are relatively safe with so many weapons to defend. Third, unless I have a constant supply of gems, the gem plan will not work.

If you will lose 1-2K DE every time you bulldoze me, you will think twice about it. Now the lighting spell is gone then you can do whatever.

if TH8's can loot in masters then TH8's can loot in gold I. I have a strong feeling you rushed your TH and are now suffering the consequences. please show us a picture of your base

I'm TH7 with 1000ish cups and basically swimming in loot / collector raids (easy 200+k/200+k with barch not even deploying full army). Not much DE but with enough nexting it eventually comes. Not sure how's the situation for TH8 but you should try staying on Silver 3.

I have TH outside and last attacks I've been more than sniped only once, and surprise, by another TH7 (he used mass dragons for kinda easy 100%). Every other single attack is snipe (usually by lower town halls). This given the fact I'm sitting right now with 4,001,000 gold, 3,8xx,xxx elixir and 18,xxx dark elixir, thus offering something along the lines of 250k/250k/900

I'd say you either:
- are very unlucky
- are in a totally wrong league
- have a quite weak base


I'm going to be TH8 in 4 days so I'll see how tragic the situation will get

I always find these threads really funny, please SC. Allow me to take out a ton of lower level th bases then me but make it so that no one is able to loot me at same time. Please please!!

really folks? It is not any different now then it was before. Attacking is more difficult but I still get hit just as much as I did before. If you having trouble then you need to either go lower League and hope to get picked off. Or just use your elixir/gold before you log out. higher th feed of lower, is the way the game works, is the way humanity works, is the way the animal world works. It is life! Go raid and get more loot then you lose, it's the way the game is played

Before the update it was worse. A max TH10 could decide he wanted to drop to silver and demolish TH6s (not that he would get any loot return). Now , with the update, you are far more likely to find your own th level or one level lower or higher. You can pick on the th7s just as much as the th9s are picking on you.

And you should be glad th10s want to attack you. They get a 50% loot penalty. You'll lose a lot less than th9s attacking you.

Superbomb u just gotta drop and farm if your getting found by eights and nines try going to silver i have a th8 account there i make 1 mil+ a day in abt 5 raids and i get hit one time its cheap and easy. If you are trying to get de and u are raiding in crystal or high gold you will be found by nines and tens.

Take a look and let me know how I can defend it better. Again, I can loot any th8 base myself if I have a level 10 king, level 10 queen, 20 level 6 giants, 10 level 6 bomber and archers.

How am I losing DE when I doze you? I am killing your entire base...

OP you appear to be saying it was better/easier/more fair in the old days....

Back when I was a fresh TH8 I got steamrolled constantly by maxed TH8's and by th9's with level 6 giants. That slowed down when I was near maxed.
WhenI was a fresh TH9 I got seriously steamrolled by TH 10's and that slowed down when I was near maxed.
As a new TH10 I got steamrolled by other TH10's that were much further advanced than I was. Now I am near maxed at TH10 and I rarely lose resources.

See the pattern? We all lived thru it and survived without begging for SC to change the game to protect us. It's the fundamental nature of the game and won't stop no matter what changes they make to the mechanics.

TLDR.... Steal more than you lose! Perhaps you should be asking for raiding pointers..... Be the shark and not the bait!

People like you make this too difficult.

You claim you have a problem. Then, when the community tried to give you tips to solve your problem, you get mad at them because of your own inability to come up with the loot needed to upgrade your base.

You need to learn to raid better, get more patient with the next button, and drop some cups. The game will always be unfair for those at the bottom and you have to work to get to the top. By the way, the top isn't too hot either since you have a penalty for everything. You just need to get better, complain less, and look at your own faults rather than pointing the blame at others. There are tons of TH8s at the same level as you, managing to find loot and retain it in their storages.

Good luck bud, but you should honestly try accepting or at least thinking of accepting the advice given on this forum. Most of the advice is good and some is noticeably trolly so you should be able to filter it yourself.

Your base seem nice you only need to find a place ( = cup range) where you don't get demolished often.
I'd either say quite low (Silver 2/3) or quite high (Crystal 3+)
In the quite low you get sniped by Town Halls 5/6/7 which may try a bt further but will never get to your core
In the quite high you'll get sniped for the bonus or by trophy climbers

Just go on and demolish TH7s who offer big loots, you can wreck most of them with giant+barch+king, barely any spell needed.

Who do you take your loot from? Do you attack better bases than you and never bully anyone else? It seems like you want to be able to farm millions of gold and have nobody take it from you. First, put your townhall outside and stop trying to win defenses. Second, be happy when a townhall 9 or townhall 10 steamrolls you. You would have lost more resources if you would have gotten steamrolled by a townhall 8. They face a loot penalty to attack you. If this bothers you that much just rush to townhall 10 and see how fun it is to be rushed.

He's a brand new TH9, rather than a TH8.

Which means TH9 and TH10 can raid him, and he can no longer usefully raid TH7. It's always been a tricky time just after a TH upgrade. The TH-matching update made that even worse since he will no longer even see TH7 (much) and will mostly be offered TH9 which are too strong for him. But he'll be offered up as a priority to any prowling TH9 - who can all steamroller him. Yet another reason I detest that update.

In the old days if someone found this tough, they could drop and hide in silver and at least get the basics done from collectors.

These days - some of them quit.

The only reason I used all my gems and updated to th9 while speaking with a bunch of th9 and th10 is because of changes supercell made.
I lived peacefully waiting for lab upgrade done a week ago and one out three days someone will loot me before I had a shield. Now it is every time I am out of shield I will be looted. So I decided to use gem updates.
so many th9 and th10 defending the new matchmaking says a lot about the new updates.

I'm a low to mid ,TH8 yes I zapped(the AD in war that needed removing or the mortar that was protecting the DE STORAGE)was my zapping
Like most say we raid our own and below and sometimes those rushed 9s(not really come across many rushed 10s with good payout)
But I love totalling another TH8 and getting Full resources on offer(and keeping in reserve the TH9 that totalled me, for a rainy day revenge when I have a full WARRING army built)
At present got Hogs going to lvl4 and BK going to lvl8 and that's DE all gained through raiding as my DE pumps pay for my dark troops..;)

Added...BTW glad to see you finally edited your SIG as bring back zapping and remove the BARCH nerf was just such an eye sore ..

If you're saving for an elix upgrade, dump gold and dark, etc. It's always been like that - before and after the multiplayer matching update. If you are offering full amount on all three then you'll be squished.
