He's a brand new TH9, rather than a TH8.

Which means TH9 and TH10 can raid him, and he can no longer usefully raid TH7. It's always been a tricky time just after a TH upgrade. The TH-matching update made that even worse since he will no longer even see TH7 (much) and will mostly be offered TH9 which are too strong for him. But he'll be offered up as a priority to any prowling TH9 - who can all steamroller him. Yet another reason I detest that update.

In the old days if someone found this tough, they could drop and hide in silver and at least get the basics done from collectors.

These days - some of them quit.

The only reason I used all my gems and updated to th9 while speaking with a bunch of th9 and th10 is because of changes supercell made.
I lived peacefully waiting for lab upgrade done a week ago and one out three days someone will loot me before I had a shield. Now it is every time I am out of shield I will be looted. So I decided to use gem updates.
so many th9 and th10 defending the new matchmaking says a lot about the new updates.

Yeah, I know. Me too. That wasn't my point. You said just make sure you don't have any rslesources when you log off at night put them in walls or whatever, but if you do that you can't save for the big upgrades.

I'm a low to mid ,TH8 yes I zapped(the AD in war that needed removing or the mortar that was protecting the DE STORAGE)was my zapping
Like most say we raid our own and below and sometimes those rushed 9s(not really come across many rushed 10s with good payout)
But I love totalling another TH8 and getting Full resources on offer(and keeping in reserve the TH9 that totalled me, for a rainy day revenge when I have a full WARRING army built)
At present got Hogs going to lvl4 and BK going to lvl8 and that's DE all gained through raiding as my DE pumps pay for my dark troops..;)

Added...BTW glad to see you finally edited your SIG as bring back zapping and remove the BARCH nerf was just such an eye sore ..

If you're saving for an elix upgrade, dump gold and dark, etc. It's always been like that - before and after the multiplayer matching update. If you are offering full amount on all three then you'll be squished.
