Its becoming very popular, my clan starts a war and during that time we REJECT any request to join our clan until the war ends.
This is becoming very common, most clans reject anyone during war days and its because of spying
my suggestion wouldn't be difficult, a player without a clan could have an "association section" with just a short list of the clans they have Been in the longest. So a dedicated spy for one clan would show "associated with (clan name) for 31 days* or whatever the length.
I agree with the idea, not only for the hoppers, but also for those players who actually come in to stay and you wonder where they came from. Also I think a 24h or 48h history for the last clans where they've been in is long enough to tell you if they are from the opposing clan, while in the same time not overfill the databse of clash. A 31 days history might bring too much useless information into the database.
Yeah, i guess the 31 days was overkill lol but you got the idea.
The idea is nifty, but I doubt it will stop spying.
The reality is that people can always have more than one account. Say a person from the opposing clan has another account that is currently in another clan, not the one you are up against. They can always use that to join your clan and spy on your traps and whatnot. You wouldn't suspect that person because he came from a different clan.
Yeah, the idea is cool as you will be able to see where someone came from, but maybe not for stopping spies.
Just do 2 days. It's all you would need to have.
If your not excepting people already, what is the point? You already solved your problem by not accepting people, what need it there for an update?Quote:

Everyone would simply create a non-affiliated spy account. Clan history wouldn't solve spying.
Personally, I think a simpler solution would be to not allow new members to see traps until after the current war has ended
Maybe even add a seperate war chat log (or add the ability to mark messages as war related) and then new members wont be able to see these until the current war has ended
EDIT: Not sure if that second part is necessary, but thought I'd include it
How about making it really simple and say that new members cannot see traps and teslas, period? Problem solved.
