You're missing the point which the OP wants to make. He claims his clan member successfully defeated a base with 1 star, yet he got -14 trophies instead of any in addition. A win should always give positive trophies or at least a 0 in case of a bad revenge, but never negative.

-14 for a one star means a -42 for a 100%

Looks possible, even in Master.
And because of the new Matchmaking, even more.

No OP is saying someone got -14 trophies for doing a 1 star attack. Not on defence.

What would happen if the clanmate surrendered without starring, +42 for 0%?
