Sometimes it's all about the fun and joy of grinding them that matters. There's no fun in rushing with the time actually.

Think we had like 1000+ discussion about this subject and i guess nobody will ever find out what is actually the best… Imo having fun is the main factor to play this game, so i'll move up to th10 from the moment it gets really boring as a th9 just doing lava's and heroes.
I don't see a reason why you should play when the fun is gone!

I just found it funny that the two threads including your "I am max TH9" statement were on the same page.
I suppose this all comes down once again to how quickly you are getting in your DE from farming, but personally, the extra things to do at TH10 are a lot more fun than waiting out months and months for your heroes to level up.
It is certainly not necessary.
As I mentioned earlier, go ahead and move up to TH10 if you can't handle the grind. That just leaves more juicy TH8's for me to farm off of. I'll gladly take the 90% loot penalty over the 50% I would get at TH10 any day. I don't care how people claim how much easier it is to farm at TH10. I know for me and my play style moving up before completing everything will definitely effect me negatively. I've been going at it 8 months now. I'm still spending resources and have a little over 70 lavas, 5 more levels on my king and 8 more levels on my queen left to do. I like the grind. The only thing that gets me is having to sit out wars because of heroes upgrading. At TH10 I don't want to do that anymore and I believe having level 30 heroes is enough to take me through the majority of TH10 without having to touch them again. That's totally worth grinding them out at TH9 in my eyes.
If you were a max th8 it is impossible to reach 30/30 heroes with 5 builders working all time.
So imo just upgrade to th10 when you bored !!!
I'm a rushed th9 and I have 92 days more time to max my heroes in th9. Actually I will have 30/30 heroes and full lava before defenses.
