"I'm Maxed out TH x except"

You right but, when people speak like that they are sure everybody's understanding what they are saying

I'm part of the group that says this. I never say I'm a maxed TH9, except...

I say that I am maxed defense, except sweepers. That's understandable as the sweepers are new, before them, I was a maxed defense. Nothing left to upgrade defense wise. I also have nothing left to upgrade DE troops wise, so I'm a TH9, max defense except for sweeper, maxed de troops with 20 level 10 walls. That's a lot more simple to say then the other way.

It depends on what end of the progression you are in. The closer to finished, the easier it is to use "except for..." way of describing your base. Similarly, if you just got to TH9, it'd be easier for you to say "I'm a new TH9 except I have maxed Mortars."


Works great at describing things with minimal words possible.

It might just be a quicker way of describing their base...instead of telling everything you have, tell what you don't.

This technique of efficiency can be observed in lot's of examples...

-When starting to play a card game and you're checking the deck to make sure it has them all, if one is missing you won't list all of the cards you have, but rather say that you have them all except for X.

-Instead of listing all of the major titles Novak Djokovic has won, it's easier to say that he's won them all except for the French Open.

-Even when telling time...we usually don't say, "it's 55 minutes after 1," but rather, "5 minutes 'till 2"

So instead of them listing the levels of all defenses, heroes, troops etc it's easier to say what they don't have.

Just my 2 cents.

People see my base and say "Wow.. you maxed?" And I always reply with "Heroes and walls left". It's flattering that folks see me as a max TH9, but I'm not there yet. I do my part to let people know that where I'm at is not maxed yet.

because it is shorter to say : "I'M max th9 except for walls and heroes and dark spell"

Than

"I have cannon maxed, AT maxed, wizard tower maxed, mortar maxed, tesla maxed, air defense maxed, x-bow maxed, all my traps are upgraded, 4 barrack lvl10, all collectors to lvl11, spell factory completed, camp also upgraded, 5builder huts, 2 maxed air Sweeper and in my laboratory, i have barbarian, archer, goblins, giants, healer, dragon, pekka, wb, wizard, balloons, minions, hogs, valk, witch, golem, lavahound, heal spell, lighting, rage, jump max for my level and BK is lvl 20 and AQ lvl18 and also 29 lvl10walls, rest legos.... with what left to do, do you think i'm good to go?"


now try to figure what's left to do in the last sentence
