 lab isn't important!?!?!?!

I'm on my way there, 22/25 heroes (33 weeks left) and 30 zaps, while my defenses still need 40 weeks to max, lab 53 including all the new dark spells. I never purposely kept defenses low, but they took way too long compared to my walls. I maxed TH7, maxed skulls in TH8 (but did nearly no defense), maxed lavas in TH9 (with a few maxed TH9 towers, but weak AT,cannons).
Now I'm TH10 with TH7-9 defenses, with 1 builder on hero, 4 on misc stuff and eventually 1 for wall and 3 for defenses
On topic:
I will use a term people always tell me "not maxed is rushed". Maxed is having nothing else to upgrade except the TH itself, anything less (in this forums) is considered rushed.
Mostly high level TH9s and TH10s get asked if they are maxed.
I'm one of those "almost maxed" TH10s
Any idiot can tell I don't have maxed heroes (30), that's plainly in my profile. So sometimes I explain that I have an airsweeper and dark lab to do still.
The odd thing now (for me) is the expectation that high level has anything to do with high levels of walls.
I'm LVL160 (finally) and have L9/10 walls.
Since walls give no XP, if I had L11 walls I would still be LVL160... its just how much spare gold and elixir I have had to dump into walls when I haven't been working on defenses/troops/upgrades/donations. If I was more active at raiding, or donated more, my level would be higher. (or gemmed/boosted)
"You're level 160, you should have max walls"
"Whatever noob, have fun maxing that TH7. Walls come in other colors than gold you know!"
Just going from skull walls (maxed from 8) to lvl 10 (maxed for 9) is over 750m. That's more than all defensive upgrades from Th8-10 combined, probably times 5.
That isn't even counting another 1 bil for just lvl 11s (coming from lvl 10's) lol.
People who say, "not maxed is rushed' are idiots. There are variations and degrees of rushing. Maxing is maxing. There aren't degrees of maxing, people just don't know how to use the term correctly (or are too stupid to understand what "max" means).
Again though, in the world of coc "maxed" usually refers to maxed defensive. Most of the time anyway.
However, when I said I was maxed as a Th9....that meant 250 lavas, maxed lab, 30/30's, and every structure/trap upgraded as far as it could go, yep.
upgrading the lab to THs level is important, but not upgrading all units.
Knowing a lot people who got some units a few levels behind, by just a simple reason: never using them, so why waste the time?
So troops are not maxed, but troops needed and used are maxed - theres just a small difference, with a deep impact.
I'd never say 'I'm maxed'...
what I use is something like 'got defense X on level 7, defense Y are 6, rest (of defensives) maxed.'
Just 'I'm maxed...' would also include having all troops, collectors and baracks at max level (for the TH level), don't see any need for that.
Knowing a lot people having some 'underleveld' troops (mostly goblins, also some giants or healers), 2 normal baracks still at 9 and collectors at 9-11 while beeing a high TH8 or TH9.
Most people talking about 'maxed bases' are just defensive related, as far as I noticed it.
since they still got level 6 or 7 walls, some missing troops, and stuff but als defensives at TH levels max - also seeing many 'maxed' TH8 with Valks and Golem level 1, so actually they are maybe something like 'close to maxed'.
well your right. I maxed all of my defenses and troops before upgrading to TH9. Btw i simultaneously upgrading my th and pekka and last tesla did it count as maxed th8? XD
I'm a maxed TH9 except walls, heroes, archer towers, cannons, wizard towers, mortars, traps, and teslas :p:smirk:
Due to simplicity. Using myself for example, it's much easier to say...
"I've maxed TH10 except Dark Elixir Spells, zap walls, Cannons, one Sweeper & BK".
As opposed to...
"I've maxed every Inferno Tower, X-Bow, Wizard Tower, Mortar, Tesla, Air Defense, Archer Tower, one Sweeper, all Traps, all lava walls, every resource pump, every troop, every army camp, all barracks, spell factories & AQ for TH10"
