Unlock New Abilities for Heroes
The Barbarian King and Archer Queen's special abilities can be a key part our strategies not only in Clan Wars, but also in farming.
My suggestion is to have new special abilities for our Heroes unlocked at certain levels. After the ability is unlocked, the player will be allowed to choose which ability to take into battle. Only one ability per battle can be used, the abilities cannot be used side by side.
The following is not an exact leveling process for the heroes, but the key focus is on the actual ability suggestions. Their functionality and statistics should be altered comparably for balanced gameplay. For example:
Barbarian King
- Lvl 5 (Existing ability): Barbarian King Rage - We all know what that does!
- Lvl 10: Barbarian King Smash - The Barbarian King creates a radius of damage for 10 seconds on nearby buildings and enemy troops. This can be used for clearing Clan Castle troops as an alternative to the new Poison Spell or Lightning Spell depending on your attack style.
- Lvl 15: Barbarian King Jump - The Barbarian King can jump over walls starting at level 15 for 10 seconds.
- Lvl 15 (Alternative): Barbarian King Blitz! - If you don't like the Jump idea, then how about the ability to charge through a wall. We all know how annoying it is when our heroes get stuck attacking their way through a high level wall!
- Lvl 20/25: Barbarian King Final breath - When the Barbarian King's HP is taken down to 50, he goes into an invulnerable frenzy dealing Double damage for 5 seconds after which his health will automatically be depleted.
- Lvl 30: Barbarian King Critical Strike (might consider unlocking for lower levels) - The Barbarian King does a unique combo with his sword and mighty gauntlet to deal 80% more damage to the current target.
Other Barbarian King ability ideas:
- All Hail the King!: The first 10 barbarian troops within the Barbarian King's Altar radius switch allegiance to your Barbarian king and begin to attack your enemies for you.
- War Cry: The Barbarian King increases all Barbarians HP and DPS by a certain Percentage. This is a passive ability. More of a perk if you will.
Archer Queen
- Lvl 5 (Existing Ability): Archer Queen Royal Cloak - Again, We all know what that does!
- Lvl 10: Archer Queen Long Shot - The Archer Queen, on occasion, tends to shoot at walls to get to her next target. Instead, have an ability that allows her to shoot a few more tiles out for 5 seconds to take down that last bit of HP on a Town Hall when it matters most.
- Lvl 15: Archer Queen Arrow Volley - Matching the above mentioned Barbarian King Smash, the Archer Queen can request an Arrow Volley at a dedicated section of the screen. This is a good alternative to Lightning spells for those pesky Clan Castle troops
- Lvl 20: Archer Queen Explosive Arrow - Deals %80 percent more damage than the standard DPS and leaves residual damage for 10 seconds. This ability can be used as a last resort if she is low on health and needs to make a fatal shot to a structure.
- Lvl 30: Archer Queen summon Archers - The Archer Queen summons a platoon (10 to 15) of Archers upon dying. This will work in a similar fashion to the Lava Hounds spawning Lava Pups upon death.
Other Archer Queen ability ideas:
- -Allegiance to the Queen: Similar to All Hail the King, the first 10 archers that pass into the radius of the Archer Queen's Altar become your allies, and will attack your enemy troops
- -The Queen's Elite: Nearby Archers will gain an increase in DPS and movement Speed when near the Archer Queen.
