Move up to g1 or higher (preferably crystal) people will actually want to snipe you at these levels cause the bonus is worth the effort. And leave it completely exposed. Speaking as ath9 a trapped th8 is just begging for me to plow through it.Quote:

Stay around 1900 with your TH out. There are PLENTY of people on their way up to crystal to grab those gems.

Leaving the TH outside and untrapped helps. But if you have enough loot, you're gonna get smashed - most likely by a TH9.
But consider the other side of the coin. How many times have you smashed a TH7 and taken their loot? That's just how the game works.
Also put a white flag near your TH so people know its not trapped. Also move up in trophies. People care about the loot bonus more when its worth it.
I remember attacking a maxed th7 with barch and my barb king. You know what? I barely got the loot from those storages and my barb king was badly injured. I had to wait for 40 minutes before using him again. Earlier a th9 with lv6 AQ attacked me with giants and archers. He had a rage spell with him and used it on the giants. My skulls got wrecked in a couple of seconds. Luckily, the giants stepped on the 2 spring traps. There, 3 giants remaining. His/her archers barely did anything. Maybe they funneled for the AQ. Well yes they did. And the Aq got ALL 5 storages without help from the archers. Used the ability on the 5th storage and surrendered. Barely any damage.:facepalm: Oh and I remember the teslas not even showing up to attack the aq. Are you kidding me?Quote:

A th8 barely have any difference against a th7 in terms of farming troops. Giants are really annoying at lv6 especially with a heal/rage. That Aq hits everything without being attacked. When it does face an archer tower or a cannon, she still wins. What about the bk? He'll just be stuck on walls....

A large percentage of players at the trophy level 1100-1500 are not interested in sniping a townhall because the loot bonus is so low. You can definitely stay in this level and be successful. In fact I would encourage you to stay in this level. The problem you are having is trapping your townhall. Since you are forcing them to lose money by sniping your trapped townhall they are much more likely to focus their army on you instead. Leave your townhall out with nothing near it no teslas or anything. If they can drop their queen or king and get the win they will usually move on. If you make them spend more troops to win, expect them to come at you bro.
It's really quite simple, if you have loot you will be smashed.
League, trophy count, TH out for snipes, etc. is irrelevant. There's always someone ready to take your loot regardless of the league you're in.
Putting your TH out in a higher league doesn't encourage anything. They will take you for the bonus, then continue to raid your base for all the cups/loot they can get. Sure, you might get lucky with a snipe from the occasional lowbie pushing....but that isn't the norm. Also keep in mind the higher you go, the more likely you are to come across stronger players.
TH8's are prime targets for 9's, just the way it is. Just as TH7's are prime targets for 8's and 9's for 10's.
So what can you do? Nothing really. Raid in long sessions and spend all the loot you can before you log. Make sure you have a builder ready for that next expensive upgrade, or a builder free for a wall dump.
TH out helps encourage sniping/free shields, yes...but again if you are sitting on stacked loot you are going to be hit hard by someone higher who is likely going to take most if not all your loot.
