Who's stolen my golden chicken hut? Reward for information offered!

Ok so since my chickens were traumatised by an old neighbour they've required a lot of medical attention (thereby hangs a tale), and finally I arranged for them to have therapy and bought them a golden hut for the purpose. Recently it was stolen. Despite intense investigations it has not been recovered nor has any hoodie or neighbour come forward to confess to the burglary.

It has therefore been weeks since I've been able to wake my chickens to let them lay their eggs due to my concern over their distress at the missing golden therapy hut. Thus they have become EGGBOUND. So today I've invested in another golden hut at great diamond expense. This has been surrounded by security fencing. I have also installed hidden cctv cameras to protect the building.

Nevertheless my investigation and search for the stolen golden hut have not stopped. There is a principle involved here. I will therefore be offering a REWARD for any information leading to the recovery of the original golden hut.

I confess. It was the gnomes. I just took down the birthday party display and they were mad. Must have stamped over to get that golden chicken hut out of spite. Oh dear. I will get the gnome jail out and set it up. When they find their way back home, its the slammer for them!! Bad gnomes!! I think I am missing a tractor and pink scooter come to think of it. Hmmmm

Thanks all for your suggestions, sadly no, none are viable. I'm pretty sure a hoodie is responsible but proving it is another matter, yes. It's definitely NOT Tom, he just has his moments, I think he's bipolar.

The answer (and the golden chicken hut) is out there somewhere, and someone will be able to lead us to the end of the mystery.....

If your tractor and scooter are missing, my guess is they knew you'd figure out that they took the golden chicken hut and would place them in jail, so they have hidden the tractor and scooter to help them break out of your jail. Might I suggest a double-walled jail? You may also need to make extra bread so you don't run out when you feed your prisoners nothing but bread and water. ;)

Actually, my money is on Alfred. He's always taking things to the wrong farms. I've been on farms overloaded with tractors, pennyfarthings and windmills that I ordered and never received. He probably just picked it up and randomly delivered it to someone else, leaving you with an extra ear of corn or a rusty old nail.

It is possible, but are you sure? The evidence is after all only circumstantial.
I have set up incident room in farm house kitchen, and taken Albert in for questioning. Seems to be a little confused, mumbling things like " with the number of parcels I have to deliver, how do you expect me to get them all right."
keeps asking to speak to his lawyer, so if anyone would like to take up the case for his defence, please do so.
neighbours are conducting farm to farm enquiries, seem to have been a lot of sightings of a strange looking teenager with fleas, loitering and tweaking and sleeping on the roadside outside people's farms. It has been suggested he has to have a "slight of hand" evident when he is carrying a balloon.
Other suspicious behaviour noted is a from a certain " little miss Riding Hood" who regularly appears outside homes in the locality, claiming she wants to buy things for her grandma. There seems to be concern regarding just how many cloche hats one old lady can wear at a time?
Besta's gnomes have been interviewed, but argue that they have a Cast iron alibi, apparently Besta had them rearranging deck chairs and installing comfort stations outside her farm at the time.
we are also following up a lead in the fishing area. The fisherman has been there an awful long time without a comfort station, so am wondering if he might have helped himself to your golden outhouse and had it installed behind the fishing hut.
Investigation on going. Any further information gratefully received?

Oh, and nearly forgot. Welfare officers advise that grit is best for egg -bound chickens. Suggest, in the absence of a qualified vet in the area to deal with all the animal welfare problems recently noted, perhaps you take them for an outing to the beach.

You should claim that disability check for the chickens, as they can't lay eggs. I suspect the pigs did it, those sneaky little pigs, if they did get it, they hid it in the trees in the fishing area, those dumb pigs. They must have payed a crazy rate for that boat shipping plus the expedition shipping rates and the parking fee. Plus buying that car to put in the woods. That must have been a lot of diamonds.

Wow! You've gone to lots of trouble to help my investigations, thank you. Just shows that some citizens desire law and order on our farms! As for the above you'll be pleased to hear that I took the advice, we had a very flighty beach trip and apart from some of them getting tangled in deck chairs, it was a success. The grit/sand has worked!

Subsequently back at our farm I have built them a secure coop with lots of security guards etc in place. They have their new golden hut now, also protected, and are laying well. Let's hope they can be left in peace for a while. Meanwhile I hope Albert gets his just dues.

Mmmm....I'm a little concerned about your 'pig prejudice'? I will claim the cheque though, even in retrospect. These golden huts cost so much!
