Gems and drills

I would love to boost my de drills every day- but their capacity is so low that they are full over night- without boost the drills on lvl3 collect 400 from 540.
So I don't boost them because I should get 800 de. Supercell could make more profit if there were implemented one of these three features:

1. Increase the capacity of de drills. Not really realistic because they had to increase it really much.

2. During a boost the capacity will be doubled, too. Problem: what happens when the boost ends before a player comes on again?

3. If a collector is boosted, and it gets 100% full, 10% of the ressources in the collector would be transferred into the storages automatically(also if it gets later full again). New top solution without problems! Why only 10%? So others can steal your ressources from the collectors!


If you think the game wouldn't be balanced any more with this, it's not right because we had to upgrade now dark spells too and the drills won't produce faster.

You know, I was expecting a post on how there should be a gem drill. Thank you for not doing that ruled out idea.

I like this personally (2), it would lead me to boost my DE more. What's the point of boosting a drill if it fills up overnight anyway?

For #1: I think that might just encourage inactivity amongst players. Right now, the drills are the only resource collectors which need to be collected relatively fast, compared to mines+collectors.
#2: That would be awesome and would only benefit those who boost, which are the only ones having this issue. Support.

True, but at the same time that would lead to some better loot for the more active ones among us. There's always an upside ;)

From a personal perspective I like the idea however, the only con I can see and this is probably from a SC perspective

DE - will become a bit more too common - by DE drills over collecting and being limited to a certain amount keeps the resource's rarity, i.e. hours worth of elixir naturally being generated can disappear because it can no longer be stored in the drill - and thus maintaining DE upgrades being harder tougher to accomplish. If you could collect more it will start to become as plentiful as gold and elixir. It is already quite abundant whilst still being challenging for achieving upgrades.

But the capacity would be doubled only during a boost and you have to spend gems on that- so I don't think Supercell doesn't like this...

This feature is really needed in the next update because we have to upgrade dark spells now, too...

I've been wanting to post this for some time but kept forgetting. I feel the same way. It's annoying to not have enough space in the d.e. drills to store one nights sleep of boosted d.e. ...only 6 hrs worth I believe at LvL4 drill..... while gold mines and elixir collectors have enough space to store nearly 30 hours worth of their resources? D.e. drill capacity needs to be adjusted.

Yes it's a waste of gems if the drills get full over night

Personally, I think that "During a boost the capacity will be doubled, too. " is a good idea.

BTW, it has a small downside that it's probably directly borrowed from boom beach, where life statues boost both production rate and capacity by the same percentage.

I didn't know that ( boom beach ) but I think it should be implemented

once the drills are level 6, with a boost they fill in just over 8 hours. when I wake up there is 1751 in my drills and they max at 1800 :)

at a th 9 you can have level 6 drills. all I wanted to point out is that they don't sit for 4 hours uncollected once leveled up. If the capacity was raised, fine by me, I will barch your drills :)

I think that a slight increase in capacity would be great, and the double gem boost sounds like a great addition to the game, I would love to see this implemented

A new Button is nice for the dark elexir drill.When I boost my drill then I needs the Button which I can stop my Boost and than I can press a playbutton when I need it again.

Ruled out.

I wouldn't mind a bump in DE capacity for drills, though I wouldn't want it only for boosting sessions. In winter, when I'm coaching basketball, I'm out of my house from 7:30 am until after midnight with camp, pre game, and then the game itself with the bus rides.

You're speaking of a double capacity when boosted, but what will happen to the capacity when the boost ends and it's not collected? Will 50% of its capacity disappear? If the extra capacity is unlocked by purchasing the boost, it should be a premium bonus only. Therefor will the additional uncollected DE get removed when the boost time is over and the drill sets back to its origional capacity?

Hmm... good question. I think, after the boost has ended 50% capacity should disappear because otherwise it would be a too big advantage. But Supercell can decide this. By the way, do you like the idea?
