Titan 1, possible boosting by sniping back and forth?

I know it might sound stupid at first or might not make much sense at all but considering the very low count of people up in Titan 1+ league, I'm wondering if this idea works or has been tried before. Basically, Titan 1s spend a lot of time in clouds and usually get "unable to find a village to attack" message. They also get hit the instant moment they log out or disconnect.

So basically, two or more people in Titan 1 collaborate by putting their TH out and constantly force closing then reconnecting the game. One of them tries to snipe the others by leaving the clan and constantly searching and returning to village. Chances are he would find his teammate and snipe him for league bonus. They can take turns and keep doing this to send trophies back and fourth while gaining massive loot from league bonus.

I know the guys in Titan are mostly maxed and don't even need the loot, I also know they might get sniped by someone else the instant they close the game. I just wanted to ask if anyone has tested this idea before...

Based on conversations with other Titans, the answer is no. While talking to some members of SavageSeven after one had tried to 50% me, I asked he he would like me to snipe him back. He was in Champs 1 so the trophy loss would have been minimal, but he said they have tried it before with very rare success. If that's the case with revenge, I imagine the odds are even lower with matchmaking.

This does present an interesting question though: why doesn't a coordinated revenge like this work? Is a player registered as offline and available to attack sooner for people in MM than someone smashing their Revenge button? Wish there was an easy way to test this, but the only way I can think to is to meet up with various attackers/attackees (across various leagues to get the most data) and agree to voice/video call them and coordinate the revenge, timing how long it takes between you logging off and when they can finally hit the button.

The answer is to prevent cheap shielding.


Before the current system of revenge, you can directly revenge someone who just logged out. It can be easily manipulated by top players to coordinate cheap shielding.

Excellent point, so there is a "cool-down" of sorts? If so, how long? and is it only for certain leagues? I'm almost curious to test this myself for the empirical evidence. (Wow! Typing "empirical evidence" about a game at 2:17am when I have to leave for work in just over an hour has made me realize exactly how addicted I am... :saywhat:)

I was always wondering why everybody just doesn't leave their TH outside in the high leagues for the free bonus every Attack. It would be so easy for everybody to collect loot

Because then everybody would be shielded you would get stuck in clouds for hours, technically it would make multiplayer impossible if literally everyone leaves TH outside..

I don't know the exact number but yeah, there's a cooldown. I think it applies to every league or generally, every player.


No need to test for "empirical evidence" since SC always list the changelogs on the update announcement. I'm just too lazy to find it since the revenge update has been quite a while.. :straightface:
