Pushing to champs as th 9

am hoping of pushing to champs soon as th 9 since its one of my clash goals .... any good tips and strategies to help me ? thanks


My army is :

Balloons lv 6
Wizards lv 5
Healer lv 4
Dragon going to lv 4
Pekka lv 3

Minions lv 5
Hog Rider lv 1
Valkyre lv 1
Golem lv 1
Witch lv 1
Lava hound lv 2

Lighting spell 5
Heal spell 6
rage spell 5
jump spell 2
getting dark spells

Much easier now since you won't have to wade through a ton of Mid to high level TH10's with the Multiplayer Match Change. Just go for it!!

You should tell us your troop levels. If you have decent troops as a th9 you should be able to get to masters relatively easy. Try using a giant based army, I used 20 giants 8wb and the rest barch. After a while loonion and gowipe will be your best options.

Yes I made it there on Saturday night :)

Through crystal and masters 3 I alternated through the following 3 armies due to needing either de or elixir to make up army costs. I only cared about pushing so I was losing resources until masters 2.

I'm still a relatively new th9.

Aq/healer (lvl 10 aq lvl 3 healers)

Aq/healer with backside hogs. (8 healers 20 hogs 4 wb.) Use king on side hogs clear defenses from.

Loonion

Then for masters 2 and masters 1 I switched to harder hitting comps. In masters 2 I used the following:

Aq/healer with backside hogs (hogs lvl 5) still working.

Hogowiwi. (Or is is gohowiwi?)
1 golem 1 witch 24 hogs 8 wiz 6 wb 2 giants 4 heal sp.

Both are relatively de expensive but I was sitting on 70k so I wasn't worried. I only lost about 8k. Maybe 10k. Net profit wise. Including 1 attack on my base.

Then the fun began in masters 1. I exclusively used one comp because I can 2 star max th9s with it. (Beware active heroes) And usually get the de.

Classic gowiwipe.
2 golem 2 pekka 2 witch 16 wiz 10 wb 2 rage 1 heal (1 jump for emergency funneling in case wb die)
(Lvl 3 golem lvl 1 witch lvl 3 pekka)

Also another key way I got there was by raiding in 2 hour boost sessions getting 7 to 8 gowiwipe in a session. I only lost 3 attacks. (Stupid infernos).

Took me 6 to 8 boost sessions to get through all of masters. Honestly if ur not a th10 then u have to do it this way.

P.s. scout for snipes with ur queen while army trains. U might get lucky! But beware traps haha.

thats not true 90% of what im seeing in m1 is mid and maxed th10s and the th9 and 10 i do see are for 1-6 cups. I am a nearly maxed th9

Well read my post but u seem to only do air attacks. In that case where I say hogowiwi or gowiwipe then u can just use laloonion or Quatro laloon or even penta laloon if u feel up to it. In other words just use war attack armies masters 1 and up.

thats is true but anyways im working on upgrading my golems soon

With your troops as of now I'd say looning or barch is your best option. The three distinct times I crossed the champions threshold I used 2 different armies as a max defense/troops th9. First and the one I went farthest so far with was a hog goblin archer army. This one is great for getting past any elixir shortage as the one thing you can always count on up there is dark. Right now with just heroes left to do I'm fluctuating just above or just below champs using giwipes. With practice these are great dark grabbing armies with the eded bonus of padding your xbow and inferno stats. Running most of the time with only one hero and usually have a 2-2.5 day span with no heroes and can still make pretty good progress. All comes down to what you're good with as the pace may be slow but you will still see a lot of th9s with the occasional 8 due to the new matchmaking.
