This first post will be dedicated to the most ruthless troop of all, the Barbarian.
Above you can see a copy of the Barbarian's stats. The max level Barbarian does 30 damage a second. That may not seem like a lot, but think about the fact of how a Barbarian only uses one housing space. Because of this, 13 max Barbarians do more damage in a second than one max Pekka, although they have significantly less health. But as you can see, since they take up less housing spaces, you can get 25 of them with more health than a max Pekka, along with nearly twice the damage. That seems pretty awesome to me.
There is a downside to the Barbarian though. They can easily be wiped out in packs by splash defenses along with bombs. Let's say you bring 30 and just place them all down on the same spot... Right onto a giant bomb. Ouch, there goes a good portion of your army. If you are able to take out a village's splash defenses, though, Barbarians and Archers will be able to run through the village without being touched.
Upgrading.
Starting at townhall 7, you are able to upgrade the Barbarians every lab upgrade. I would highly suggest that you do this as one of the first upgrades. Barch is an EXTREMELY effective farming strategy which to can used to quickly get you resources and upgrade your village.
Level 1
These are the first troop you get in the game, and most likely after you get them, you'll go out, get some easy loot, and come back and get your townhall up. Most people don't have these for long as you soon get the laboratory and are able to get these bad boys up to level 2.
Level 2
You will be able to get these as soon as you get the lab at th 3. Again as I said earlier, you will not have have these for long as the next upgrade is at th5, where you really start getting into the game.
Level 3
Once you have gotten these, you should notice a visual difference in how it looks as opposed to the first 2 levels. It gains a headband around its head along with a bigger sword. Once you get get these, you should be able to effectively farm using Barch to max out your th 5.
Level 4
Here we go, the BAM. BAM stands for Barbarian, Archers, Minions, and is an effective and chela strategy for farming, as you'll see under attack strategies. Not a difference in visual appearance.
Level 5
Here at th8, in order to max, you must spend lots of time on walls. Using the Barbarians you will be able to farm more resources than you know what to do with. The Barbarians gain a new sword and a new helmet.
Level 6
Honestly, Barbs are not as useful here if you use LaLoonian, but upgrading them is still a good idea. As always, Barching can cheaply get you resources, so I recommend you at least try them out.
Level 7
Barbarians may be one of the most underrated troops at th10. As proven by many people, you can use Barch to get into champs, and to as easily two star as Gowipe. Look up some th10 Strats on YouTube.

1.) Use you Lightning Spell(s) to BARCH
You want to take out the Mortars because they are a real pain in the a** for your Archers and Barbarians. Depending on your Lightning Spells level you can take out 1 or 2 Mortars with them.
You don’t need to take out 2 of them (Lightning Spells costs Elixir and are quite slowly produced) and you will quickly get a feeling when you need to destroy two of them or maybe one of them is enough to win the attack. For beginners I recommend you to use the save route and destroy 2 if you can.
Important: Always keep one Lightning Spell because you don’t know what’s inside the Clan Castle – if you face a group of Wizards you will be very glad to have saved a last Lightning Spell.
2.) Deploy your Barbarians and Archers
When deploying your troops you always do that the same way. You draw a line of Barbarians which will be something like a spread tank the defensive buildings will focus on:
Right after that you will send in a line of Archers directly behind them – while the Barbarians take the damage the Archers will destroy the buildings with their ranged attacks:
3.) Heroes and Clan Castle troops
Now you can send in your Clan Castle Giants/Golem if there is a spot where you can use them – I always use them next to Wizard Towers. Also your Heroes should not be sent in first but only when needed. The simple reason is that as soon as you reached the 50% destruction nd your star you should end the battle as soon as possible. There is no difference in 50% or 60% because for your second star you will need the Town Hall which you will not destroy with BARCH under regular circumstances.
By ending the fight directly after you got what you wanted you save your Heroes health and reduce their regeneration time

BAM farming strategy
The BAM farming strategy is used to farm loads of resources in short time. It’s similar to the Barb/Archer strategy, but this setup also includes Minions. It’s an amazing way to farm loads of resources in short time.
A easy way to create the attack troop fast is:
2 barracks trains Archers
2 barracks trains Barbarians
Dark barracks train minions
You can also add Wall Breakers to the BAM farming setup, and you can also replace some of the Barbarians with Giants, but remember that it will take longer time to create and that they cost more elixir.
The idea of this setup is to distract defensive buildings with Barbarians and Archers and then send in Minions.
You should draw Barbarians in a ring around the base, then rings of Archers. Then you should find a good spot for the Minions and send them in. A good place would be away from the Air BAM Strategydefence and Wizard Towers.
Some prefer to use this setup together with a Healing ring and Rage rings. Consider to use the Healing ring close to Air Defence or Wizard Towers and the Rage spell when your minions are in middleo f their base, so that your sure you will get everything they have.
STRENGHT AND WEAKNESSES
The strenght of this setup is that you can do attacks very often and farm alot of resources in short time. The setup is quite strong. Because the setup only require cheap units and that we use all barracks speeds the creation time up alot.
The weakness of BAM strategy is Air Defence and Wizard Towers. To counter them you should consider using Healing ring or take the Air Defence and Wizard Towers out with your Barbarian and Archers.
WHICH BASES TO ATTACK
Alot of people farm 1.000.000 resources each hour by using the BAM strategy. You should look for bases that has atleast 100.000+ resources stored.
Easy bases to attack are these who lines up their gold mines and elixir pumps close to the outer walls.
You should also look for bases that has the Air Defence and Wizard Towers in a bad positions so you can take them out quick. Preferable with groups of Archers and Barbarians. Dont send all into splash damage, send them in waves to prevent damaging you whole troop at once.
