I find that when I use my tablet, which is getting pretty old, I have this issue, but I never have this problem with my phone.
I do agree they should make you select a troop first

no... You're probably just use too using ur phone as it has a smaller screen u may just tap in the wrong place.:smirk:
and I'm on board with this on my push too masters a while ago I did this like 3 times a day  lets just say my iPad paid the ultimate price...:smirk:
What next, a "Are you sure you want to drop this spell here?" button?
Been proposed so many times.
Hopefully on the next update.
whining about it however makes it sound less attractive...IMO. Not trying to be toxic just trying to help.
Bump (want to see what others think)
This is a game that is an app on your phone. If something as simple as you, the user, pressing the wrong spot (your own fault) causing a troop to deploy angers you that much then either A) pay more attention and not do that B) stop playing the game C) don't eat doritos without rinsing fingers before playing (did this before a war attack smh)

Ongoing petition in Ideas and Feature Requests subforum to have no default troops selected while nexting.
happens to me very little but i totally agree.
For getting to Champs as a TH9+ playing 24/7 is not needed. It's so easy. Don't complain about it. Play two or three 2h-sessions a day and you'd be fine. And don't play when you're tired - you make much more mistakes then.
Just don't blame SC for something that's clearly your fault.
It just takes literally no effort at all to become a Champ, spending a lot of time each day pushing is gotta be needed when you're going far beyond that... like, 4k...
Stop complaining and whine in a corner.
Its quite sad how careful I have to be of this while pushing.
