Check this out: Battering Ram,
Hey everyone,
So I think a lot of people will agree with me on this, but we need a dark troop that targets the Town Hall. There have been a few ideas posted, but I feel that this troop would be a very balanced, effective troop that would change the dynamics of raiding.
The Battering Ram (note: all statistics below are based on the level 1 troop)
HP: 350
DPS: 150 (5x damage to walls)
Attack Speed: 1 strike every 4-5 seconds
Movement Speed: 8-10
Camp space: 30
Training time: 25-30 minutes
Cost: 300 dark elixir
Damage type: area splash (over 3 blocks)
Targets: ground
Favoret target: Town Hall
I'm pretty sure that covers all the statistics. Please comment if I missed anything.
A couple questions you might ask looking at this troop:
1: Why take up so much camp space?
If you think about it, this troop would be amazing for Clan Wars. Having 1 or 2 of these troops going straight for the Town Hall can get you a star at the least (when used correctly) While dragons and PEKKAs are nice, they tend to target less important buildings over the Town Hall. (At least through my experiences with them) With the Battering Ram, you have a troop targeting exactly what you want it to most of the time. This privledge shouldn't be to overpowered, so taking up lots of camp space is a good balance.
2: Does 5x damage from Battering Ram make wall breakers useless?
I say no. Put this into perspective: lvl 6 walls have 2000 HP, a level 1 Battering Ram would take 4-5 seconds just for 1 hit. While it would pretty much demolish the wall, if there are multiple layers then it becomes a very long wait. Add the fact the Battering Ram is very slow at a 8-10 movement speed, and with its low hit points, all it takes is a couple of towers targeting it and the troop is dead. Wall breakers are faster and still way more effective at clearing walls.
3: is the Battering Ram underpowered?
Again, I say no. Like the PEKKA, while this troop takes awhile to strike, when it does the blow is devastating. The movement speed, camp space, and attack speed are simply minor limitations to the raw power of this troop.
That's all I have to say about this troop. If there are any questions, please ask them. I ask that this troop at least be seriously considered for the game itself. I know I would have a blast using it! Let me know what y'all think of this troop, suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
