Boosting Barracks Idea

Have you ever boosted your Barracks for 2 hours and then found yourself not being on clash for the 2 hours? It probably feels like you just wasted a bunch of good gems. My idea will solve all of those issues.

My idea is once you gem your barracks, you can press a button which will allow you to pause the boost. Your troops will continue to be made while the boost is off, but they just will not be made as quickly as when the boost is on. When you feel like attacking again, or want your troops to be made quicker, then you can turn the boost back on with a click of the same button. If you only used 15 minutes of the boost and turn the boost off, the next time you go to use the boost, you will have an hour and 45 minutes left to use to boost your troops.

The problem is that this creates a loss of profit on SC's side since gems are their main source of income. Not gonna happen sadly.

While I like the idea, SuperCell would much prefer you boost your barracks/hero/spell factory for 2 hours, actually use the boosted resource for 20 minutes, then reboost it later when you want to play again. If I were in their shoes, I'd also want you to spend more money. I don't see this happening.

Would love it, but would highly doubt it would get added. This makes the boost last longer, and costs SC money.

I really wish this was an option, and I thought about this morning because last night I boosted my barracks, heroes, spell factory and attacked a few times (had about an hour left of boost) ... and fell asleep. I didn't realize I was so tired!

So while I was thinking about it, it'd be nice if you could pause it ONCE during the boost session. This wouldn't take away Supercell's profit by much and it'd be a nice compromised between the business side and the customers.

I was actually going to post about this very same idea, and the search button came in handy. If we were allowed to pause our boost, I'd dump all the gems I had into boosting my barracks. Sometimes I can farm for 30 minutes, but not 2 hours. The fact that I don't always have 2 hours to sit and play is why I refuse to move past th9, the time commitment is just too great without being able to decide how long I play. Give e the consumer more value for what they spend their money on, and that alone would generate more revenue. C'mon SC, work with us here!

The Big problem with this idea is this. Let's say I need a war army made. I start boost, build the army,then pause the boost when it is created. I can continue to do this multiple times with only one boost. People would abuse this all the time.

Toast, I'm not seeing how that's abuse. The point of boosting your barracks is to get whatever kind of army you want, asap. If you're referring to a clan war army, you'd really only be able to 'abuse' this twice, then your war contribution would be over.

That was just an example. For any army some take longer than others. The point being is instead of spending say 80 gems for two different boosts to make and army you only spend 40. Again some armies take less time so you could make multiple. Even with a simple barch pausing it and then using it again later is another save on spending more gems in order to boost. Boosts are 2 hours long for a reason. they are ment to make you play longer than you want to.
