I was wondering if there was any way the creator could add a surrender button for clans that become dominated in war. So if they choose not to attack in the war they can surrender. So the winning team doesn't have to wait 16 hours for the war to end if they are not willing to attack anymore.
Sorry you're losing but the answer to this should be no for several reasons.
- First, if the other clan has not used 100% of their attacks you are depriving them of opportunities to either get loot or achievement stars. Everyone in war should be able to attack twice as allowed.
- *IF* a clan was allowed to surrender in war they should also be forced to surrender any loot gained or clan XP.
- If a clan was able to surrender, Super Cell would need to find a way to compensate the winning clan people that missed out on attacks.
- The biggest reason most people want to end war early is so they can start their next war. But this would allow clans to run more frequent wars and therefore gain more XP in the long run. Imagine a clan that joins war, everyone in the clan quickly does what it takes to 1 star all their opponents to get the base XP, but then resigns 30 minutes into the war.
- *IF* Super Cell allowed clans to quit wars early, they should not be able to start a new war until the full 48 hour period of war duration passed. This would eliminate gaming the system for more XP.
If the IF statement in the first bullet above was put in then I suppose maybe they could start a new war sooner. Perhaps that would be the option. A leader could surrender and either decide to give up all benefit from that war (loot and xp) or take what they have now and wait the full 48 hours.
Basically, surrendering in war should come at a steep price that would not benefit the loser in anyway.

(It's not that I'm losing its actually the fact that my clan 30 stars within the first two hours of war and and the other team only attacks maybe 6 out of the 20 attacks and chooses not to attack anymore. It's happened not once but the last 8 wars we have been in and in tune we are forced to wait for loot rather then the other teams leader choosing to surrender knowing that they are not willing to attack anymore and force defeat.
My logic is still the same as to why this cant/wont be done. I feel your pain as we have had to wait knowing the other clan gave up. But it is what it is.Quote:

So, your clan is way ahead of my clan in war and I, as leader, decide I have no chance to win the war.
Why would I ever push the surrender button?
I would send a clan mail that says:
"Hey clan mates! We're not going to try to win this war ... they are just too far ahead. Feel free to barch the storages they have and get some loot for yourself."
Finally, the reason all ideas for shortening wars fall flat is because they are unfair to clans with members in different time zones. 24-hours prep and 24-hours battle gives everyone the same daily window to participate.
