Dark spell idea

Hi new to forum... Just an idea for a new dark spell.

As there is earthquake, in keeping with the theme of natural events "The Tsunami" effects would be to extinguish or cause a slow fire effect on all fire based defenses (cannon, mortar,air defense and inferno tower) for a limited period.

The inner radius would have an extinguish effect and the outer "splash" would have a slow fire effect, here it would cease fire from inferno and air defense for a limited time and also slowdown the cannon fire rate.

The effect would be an attacking army would still be taking fire from outer ring but none from inner core until they have dried out and then would resume targeting.

Tsunami Spell Lvl 1
Spell Duration: 4 seconds inner core (0% fire rate)
3 seconds outer core (75% fire rate)
Cost:150 Dark Elixir

Tsunami Spell Lvl 2 Max Level
Spell Duration: 5 seconds inner core (0% fire rate)
4 seconds outer core (70% fire rate)
Cost: 175 Dark Elixir

Effect type: Area Splash
Housing space: 2...
(? should this be 1? may be better as a 2 space to prevent being used along side freeze, or sacrificing another spell to take along with freeze)
Time to Create: 20m
Targets: Ground & Air

Anyway thanks for reading and look forward to feedback or any expansion on the idea.

But what happens when you use this in war? Since there is no water to be seen in the war maps.

Maybe it drops like a usual spell and splashes outwards from the drop and may not cover the entire map but specific targeted areas leaving a wet effect that if a tesla in range can reach supercharges the damage in that wet area...

Just thinking there is only one spell in game that affects inferno's and as a th9 1. I don't have that spell and 2. I don't even bother to try attack th10's purely because of inferno's which restricts me being able to revenge when I get absolutely robbed.

I have an idea....

Maybe instead of the river being the source for the spell, maybe the spell would create a 3x3 hole, and water could rush out of it. Doing the same stuff the river.

Does this spell target the whole base or a specific area?

If it targets the whole base, it is waaaaay too OP

If it targets a specific area, it's just a freeze spell.

Do you thnk that maybe instead of turning off the fire defences, it should weaken them instead?

You're right in saying it would be OP maybe a similar area to earthquake would work and in terms of being a freeze spell I suppose it is kinda but cheaper, available at th9 and has weakness which the new spells seem to have(poison against drags,earthquake %damage) it's not a full blown attack spell more strategic def weakening...

Bias towards opening up the ability to attack th10, yes i am, i don`t see this spell having such a massive impact that you would 3 star a 10 but it could possibly open up the field a bit, also this game is tactically based and i think these new spells are aimed purely at tactics so could fit in, i don`t know? just an idea...

But to make a spell that does the same as the freeze spell acquired 1 th sooner is ridiculous. Why not just make a spell a 2nd drag a little weaker available for th6

Not that ridiculous, the haste spell is just a weaker rage spell without the damage increase...

But two are much better speed increase than rage and available a few ths later not 1 sooner. Plus this would have smaller radius and weaker effect

Yes but there`s the compromise, you gain a speed increase, you can get the troops in further but their dps does not change, if this were to slowdown fire from defenses it would be a weaker freeze spell, not entirely different but would play the same role as freeze, troops could push in further taking less damage from main fire def but also be vulnerable from other def...

Yeah if its a dark spell it shouldn't completly nullify the defenses it can actually be used on, just a weaker version, and also to the image of the spell, the container the spell is in, is used for spells not dark spells.

Sorry explain to me your point? clearly i can not comprehend your reasoning for TH 9 not being eligible for a freeze type spell...

also your point about 2 haste spells being better than 1 rage is void as you can only take 1 dark spell unless you remove a normal spell so with that the compromise is more speed over more damage, this spell the compromise would be to receive damage at a lower rate over receiving no damage at all while the def is frozen...

I like this idea but it seemed to OP to be a dark spell. It should become another regular spell instead so that it takes up 2 spaces, not just one.

Oi lad i never made any point about to haste being better than a rage youre arguing againt nothing. Just read the first comment over again im sure if you do it enough youll understand.

Ermm...

I'm not arguing, I'm stating the pro's and cons of each spell in relation to each other, is the comment you're referring to the one you're muttering something about drags at TH6?

Yes finally you get something right👍(props) and the drag was irrelevant i couldve used any troops as an example.

Well it's a creative and unique idea, but perhaps this spell would be unnecessary because of the Freeze spell. I'm not sure of this idea because it only effects certain defenses. It even makes the Teslas stronger, which is a negative. Players would probably be better off using a few freeze spells to completely stop a certain defense for a limited time without making other defenses stronger. Seems a bit too like a Freeze spell to me, accept for the increases damage input for teslas. I don't know about this idea.

Exactly, which I never denied and actually promote this as, I do see what you're saying, again I never denied that this is bias towards th9 but th10 will also have it and how would a freeze/tsunami combo work? Jaron's comment was intelligible and actually outlined the negatives.

I think the natural progression of these new dark spells is going to go along the lines of slowing defensive response, (poison effects cc troops, earthquake causes damage, haste alters attacking troops) so what is left that they could add a spell effect to?...defenses or heroes, i don`t see that this spell would be completely out of place, maybe as it is now is not a good example but to me there is potential, please if you have any ideas on what they may be offering us next in spell strategy give your opinion...:thumbsup:
