Members LEAVING during war

Have any of you had those that join the clan, go into war, then leave and decide not to attack at all? There should be a thing that when its war time the player CANT leave the clan until they participate in the war, and if they try for more than three time to leave, they get a penalty of something I dunno, maybe unable to join clan for an amount of 48 hours or use global chat to join. Something because it gets annoying when people do that, and this has happened many times before to other clans, and some just don't have it because of either luck or something. What do you guys think?

No, this is a terrible idea every time it's suggested. Consider the following:

1. D-bag gets in war.
2. D-bag wants to leave for reasons unknown, but now can't
3. D-bag gets angry and spreads bad rumors on the forums about your clan.
4. D-bag then turns clan chat into something that makes global chat look like bible study.
5. D-bag donates goblins and wallbreakers to both War and normal CCs.
6. D-bag makes his war base so that it's an easy 3 star.
7. D-bag wastes both attacks by placing 1 barb and ending the battle.
8. D-bag continues to bad-mouth in clan chat.
9. You then either kick him, or all your other members leave because you don't.

Now, do you really want this feature?!

Good communication and leadership within the clan is the real solution, so stop taking this to SC when it's your problem.

But, this person never talks, and I can understand what you mean about how they can be total D-bags, but what if they're forced to attack or something. The part of when you said, "Good communication and leadership within the clan is the real solution, so stop taking this to SC when it's your problem." In the clan we talk a lot about strategies for war and we donate the and receive in equal amounts. What if it's that the person that decided not to speak for no reason and stuff. It won't be my fault would it? And if I kick them they would get it their way and win. I sometimes wonder why can't we raid the person or do something to teach them a lesson it would be so much fun to get a proper revenge.

You misunderstood my point, if you had good leadership, you wouldn't let some stranger into a war immediately.

Also, saying "this person" is too specific. You have to broaden your mind and think about all other possible scenarios before deciding whether an idea is good or not.

We dont let people in automatically we actually decide as a clan if people can join or not, I was just saying that if people actually do that, there should be some type of penalty to them. The idea I have anove is terrible I know was something random that I made up.

I understand that you may have it set to Invite Only, but what I meant was usually you should see what the person's like for say a week, before opting them in for war.

Also, I don't think there should be any penalty because it'd be too easily abusable, and what I already stated above would be possible.

DONT PUT FOLKS IN WAR WITHOUT A PROBATION PERIOD!!! Taking just some random from global into something as serious as war is just asking for trouble.

“This person never talks” would be instant kick in my clan. If a person can’t or won’t communicate, you will never be able to give them orders and know if they understand.

Yes BbaBaba I agree with u that there should b some sort of action taken to that player but u surely do not want what u suggested, no way! Callywally is right on the money with this, no one want D-bag sticking around that's for sure. I do like the idea that maybe they can not req to another clan to join or b able to receive an invite from any other clan for a period of time. Global chat also being taken away from them for that same period so they lose any contact with clashers.


I would really like to see some sort of action taken against this disruption to wars that these individuals bring to clans, at the same time it really does come down to how leaders n elders conduct their clans for war (90% of the time) but there will always b ones that just run/hop/don't show up! That's just war

Thanks for siding with me, but wouldn't your other suggestion about the person not able to join another clan after leaving bring up more problems than it'd solve?

What if I join a clan, and since it's unstable, opts me into a war. I then realize how bad it really is, but after I leave, I can't join a new one. I think this would cause a lot of frustration among clan searchers.

Also, always take into account they already have a penalty for leaving during war; the player cannot join another war until the war he was in is over. ​
